Anyone know of any 3rd party nav software (google, garmin, tomtom, any) - not map upd

Heres my problem. I have a 2005 TL and the routing algorithm is awful. When I travel long distances, it routinely finds routes that are hours off. I've tried all of the options shortest time, shortest distance, etc.

I only use the cars navi for short trips and I keep my garmin gps in my glovebox and use that instead for long trips.

So what I am wondering is if there are 3rd party "hacks" that will update the actual navigation software to use something with more efficient routing software.

Note: I am not looking for a map DVD. I've already done that.

no. there are no hacks. you are simply dealing with an outdated system that came out in early 2003.

you are correct in using a 3rd party hardware to solve your problems.....as MOST of us just use our phones with included GPS (google maps or iOS maps)

Went test driving the new Genesis G70 Dynamic package today with the 3.3L twin turbo. What a super sweet car and the reviews are fantastic. They offered me $36K for my RDX.............

What does this have to do with the GPS unit on a 2005 Acura TL?
