Question Phone Mount Solution for Nexus 6 in 3G TL? Proclip or others?

This is a longshot, but does anyone have a good mounting solution for the Nexus 6 in their 3G? The larger size and curved back of the phone makes it a bit difficult.

I've seen a couple of you guys on here have ProClip mounts, but mostly they're the low-mounted ones (by the shifter).
ProClip Center Mount, Low-ProClip USA

I like having the phone mounted higher by the center vent, and this seems like an ok solution, BUT I've never seen it used in anyone's TL - more specifically, I can't figure out exactly HOW it secures itself on the dash...

Anyone have any tips? Or have another mount they use with the Nexus 6?

I use the proclip in the center mount and love it. I use it for gps but I tried my phone there too and it worked great. The mount is super sturdy and doesn't move at all. It's not very far off from your driving line of sight.

To install you slide the bottom into the very top of the vent and then the top half jams into a space between the center console and dash. It's very secure. If you look up their install pdf you can see more details. I highly recommend the mount, it's expensive but way better than anything I've seen

I'll be getting a proclip mount once I get a phone upgrade. I'll probably buy the passenger side mount one. I need my driver's side AC vent.

my center vents barely put out any air. most of the ac comes out the side vents. but then again in san diego i rarely use AC

Thanks! Dave you always help me haha

I actually ended up getting the driver's side one because I initially thought that the center console one attached in an odd way. Might end up getting both eventually to give myself the option though, it's only $30

This is something I frankensteined together from parts I had laying around the garage and amazon. The magnetic mount came from an old iPad stand. Disassembled it fit perfectly in the tape area with rubber hose keeping it from wiggling side to side. The thin piece of exposed metal on the case keeps the phone secure and spin easily. Originally I planned on using a cassette to secure the mount but it fit so nicely and the cassettes I ordered from China were taking too long to get here. Do you know how hard it is to find a cassette nowadays! I figured some old person still had them in their answering machine. Not even CVS had them. Anyways I ordered 2 cassette to 3.5mm jack cassette adapters on eBay for less than a buck a piece!
