HFL not doing anything

I have a 2006 Acura TL that I just bought today (so stoked to have it!) and when I press the HFL button, the car doesn't do anything. How do I hook my phone (iPhone 6) up to it so I can use the hands free?
The dealership also didn't have the manual, so that is why I am resorting to here.

Your HFL module is dead. It's pretty common.

scroll through the MID to see if your HFL is there,if you see a message "booting up" its a sign that the HFL unit going bad.

Its a pretty easy DIY fix. Part costs about $220 takes about 15 minutes to replace.

Mine has the same problem and I've put off fixing it. I've heard that when it goes, it will drain the battery. At this point I'm putting off fixing it.
