Adding a JL 6.5" front speakers and kenwood amp. Need opinions

So I went to a car audio place and they recommended JL C2-650 for the fronts and I want to add a kenwood 5ch amp (7005KAC) and just connect the front speakers to it.

Is this a good set up? $320 for the amp, $400 for the speakers including installation and $250 to install the amp.

So it's all adding up to almost $1k, is there anything I can change or that's a pretty good set up?

Also is there any good sub replacement? Apprently my OEM sub blew and I need a replacement but I don't want to spend bare money so I'm thinking of a direct replacement but need some help.

So anyone ?

how come you are going with a 5ch amp when you are only upgrading two channels? you can get some pretty good quality audio stuff for cheap on amazon, check them out. 250 seems high for an amp install but i'm not sure. you can get pretty good speakers on there for under 200.

i have my oem sub (not blown) sitting around if you want to buy it. i can let it go for pretty cheap. there's not many options for replacing the oem sub with a plug and play since the oem sub runs free air and the specs are pretty tight regarding depth. i went with a sealed enclosure in my trunk.

It's not worth it to upgrade the rears. It's just filler for your music. Most people who do audio upgrades don't even touch the rears, but the call is up to you. I upgraded everything but the rears

Or you can do what many people do and bridge 4 channels to power the components and use the sub channel for your sub. rears and center remain on oem amp
