2006 satnav on a 2004 TL?

Hey guys! This question idea either really dumb or really smart: can I rip out the climate control/radio info screen and replace it with the 2006 TL satnav screen? Since they're both 3rd Gen, I should theoretically be able to plug-and-play, right?

Thanks!

hold up,

you want to replace the HVAC/Audio display and put the navi display in there and expect it to work since they're both 3rd gen?

sorry broski, it doesn't work like that

you'll need a lot more components than that, like the navi drive, sub display, wire harness, etc

Yes. You can replace the old climate control with the new screen and SATNAV system.

Just don't expect the new components to work without the antenna and other wiring components you need.

So, yes.

It's been done. Just takes a lot of work.
