My HFL worked fine on my last Samsung Android phone, but on my newer LG Volt, it binds fine, but when I try to make a call, the car tells me the phone has no service, so I have not been able to use HFL for the pat year. Anyone had this problem? I tried several times. Maybe it's time for a new phone. I am on Boost (Sprint) and I wouldn't mind a better phone, but I don't want anything too fancy because I work in an environment where the phone gets dirty and could potentially get destroyed, so something like a Galaxy S5 or better is a bit expensive. Why does my newer LG Volt not work? My Volt works find on my wife's brand new 2015 Honda CR-V, which comes with HFL. Heck, that thing supports streaming audio, which my 05 RL does not.

Well it doesn't matter anymore. I decided to just try again and the HFL is dead. Nothing happens when you push either button. Starting to get discouraged. Wonder if it's an easy fix.

HFL module probably died. Don't know how much it costs to replace.

That's what I am thinking. Unless I can find a replacement from a salvage yard cheap, it's not worth replacing. I can think of a dozen other systems that could have failed which would really impact enjoyment or even basic use of the car. At least this is isolated and not giving me error messages or something. I'm pretty much in a drive the car into the ground mode at this point. I'm going to polish out the headlights and replace the chrome grille strip this fall to make it look nicer up front, but I already replaced some parts this year, and am not wanting to spend any more on it this year if I don't have to. Sat in a new Accord Sport yesterday, and it's no RL, but I think it was nice. Just wish they weren't so slow. Not that it matters in 95% of my driving. Not sure I want a used car again this round, so will have to downgrade.
