sorry to bring this post up from the grave but I just installed my grom usb2 yesterday everything works fine with 3.5mm aux and with the usb to the only thing is I cant see my audio files on the screen I just get a screen that says extension and it stays on there while the music plays anybody else get that?

There's no text display with that unit unless u install it in the trunk at the XM module...

I am really thinking about getting this because I am not liking the Jet FM Transmitter any longer. Highs (cymbals, hi-hats, etc) are very distorted which is the norm on most of these devices. My question is what is the largest usb/hard drive that this can use. I am thinking about loading all my music on like 500gb flash drive and just leaving it in the trunk connected to this and streaming my podcasts to it via bluetooth. Anybody with an RL have a similar setup? Let me know. Thanks Acurazine!
