2016 RDX advance radio
Had the vehicle since July. Every once in a while after starting I notice all my preset radio stations show different stations or no stations at all. It will stay like that until I shut off vehicle and restart. I read owners manual and found nothing. Anyone know any thing about this?

Mine does the same thing occasionally when first starting the engine. Sometimes it just displays random alpha numeric characters for the station names.
Often the display will return to normal by itself if I just wait for 1/2 minute, or if I switch to a different audio source, and then return to the radio it will also return to normal.

Mine has done it once. When it did it, the rear lift-gate was also open (of it's own accord).
I contacted the dealer and Honda-Central told him to reprogram the keys to the car upon the first service.
I've had some other strange things associated with the key. Last time I washed the car, the doors alternately locked and unlocked every time I touched the car with the sponge.
I love the convenience of this electronic key stuff. But, I am not convinced it is secure or working properly. This is one of those ones Honda won't step up to. There is real dis-ensentive to admitting you can't engineer a keyless entry in this day and age.

Make sure it knows which driver is in the vehicle.Programming the radio presets for driver 1 will have no effect for driver 2.While it moves the seat and mirrors for the other driver it also changes the radio presets.

Well when I take it in for first service I am going to tell them about this. I still routinely have the problem in that it will show different radio stations. Usually resets after I turn it off and then back on. Only complaint I have on my RDX

I have found in the '15 & '16 it will occasionally "select" the wrong driver for no reason. If you walk up with the driver 1 fob it will set the RDX to driver 2 and the mirrors, seat AND THE RADIO will be wrong. Manually selecting Driver 1 doesn't change the radio, but does fix the mirrors and seat.
Stupid Acura can't figure out why it does that. First they say you must have had driver 2 close to the RDX. Well if they consider over 700 miles away as close, they could be correct.

The only way to fix it that I have found is to exit the RDX with the fob, lock the doors pause and then unlock the doors with the driver 1 fob. Works 90% of the time...lol

I have had this happen several times and I'm the only driver of the vehicle. I took it to the dealer two weeks ago with photos to show. Service manager said they had never seen this happen before. They called mother acura and got the same response. Told me to wait and see if it happens again, then bring the car again. Total waste of my time. Gonna try another dealer if it happens again.

I agree that this is not normal, and it was slightly annoying to have this happen in a brand new vehicle. But since it only occurs in about 1 out of 10-15 starts, and I can resolve the problem in literally 1 second by turning the radio power on and off, it's not worth the hours of time it would take to bring it to dealer.
In fact, even if you did convince the dealer to replace your unit, it sounds like they all have the problem, so complaining is a total waste of time. At least until they learn what is causing the problem and can find a resolution.

Since many dealers are clueless, call Acura and let them know about your problem and your dealer experience.

I just test drove '16 RDX and the same thing happened - FM stations displayed Jebrish and then after I went back to the menu, they were fine. So is there going to be a fix for it? I can't believe they let the car to be sold like that *sigh*.

I have a 2016 advance RDX they denied the radio problems on my vehicle. I went months without a working radio. the radio was finally replaced. The front parking sensor go off for no reason. All the sensors were replaced and the problem is not fixed. The rear hatch opens by itself in the middle of the night. Multiple electrical problems when it rains. The brakes make noise constantly. Acura refuses to help.
