Gracenote 2010 vs 2013 TL

I recently installed the most recent Gracenote firmware on my 2010 TL and it still didn't recognize cd text descriptions on some of my CDs. Yet, when i tried the same cd in a 2013 TL with an older firmware, it recognized the cd text appropriately.

Anyone have a fix?

Kinda annoying.

First off, how did you upgrade the firmware?

Secondly, yeah that's pretty annoying

Your link was for an update to the database, not firmware, which I believe was Alexander's question. That said, I suspect OP meant "database", not "firmware".

The database is the same for the 2013's and the 2009-2012's. I can't account for the fact that an older database is bringing up data that the newer does not. Gracenote does seem to be dropping the ball, lately, as their "quarterly" updates are hardly quarterly.
