2013 Nav Update Disc?

I know this is a fairly old thread, but this is an update regarding the 2013 NAV DVD Update Disks.
I live in Canada, but bought the NAV DVD from the US - I don't think you have a choice. The links on either CAN/US Acura sites point to the US site. Also if you do order them, if you send it to a Canadian address, shipping is an extra $35.00. Shipping to a US address is only $4.
So anyway, I put an order for the RDX 2013 NAV DVD for $149 and apparently this only includes US and the narrow (50mi) southern band of Canada even though the DVD states North American update 4.B1. I had to return it an get the $179 version (includes 2 DVD's, one for All of Canada and one for US).
Also, once you put the new 2013 NAV DVD into your car (mine was still using the original 2007 maps), it updates it and you can't go back to using your old 2007 maps anymore unless you go into your Acura Dealer to have the NAV System reset for $50.
One other item that I thought I would also share is that the update (2013 DVD) made our backup camera image brighter and crisper than before the update. My guess is that the camera/screen contrast or something was changed during the update process.
Hope this helps someone who may be looking for the updated NAV DVD.

How to Access the DVD?
Hi, Went ahead and ordered the 2013 disc after receiving the offer of $99. Any tips on how to remove the carpeted access panel? It seems to be attached pretty well and I don't want to break anything. Thanks.

I have used plastic trim tools to pop it off but I believe the manual says to use a flat head screw driver. If your out and about with no tools you can put together 3 cards such as a credit card or DL card and pop it off that way too.

Info from Acura on the latest update
New Feature Enhancement for the 2013 DVD Map Update:
There is a new setting of Electronic Toll Collection (ETC) for use on US highways, where there is an ETC toll collection system in use. Many toll roads across the US and Canada only utilize the ETC system. Users may now choose to 'minimize' or 'maximize' routing on these toll roads under the SETTINGS->ROUTING AND GUIDANCE options. The default setting is set to 'minimize' ETC, which means the system will try to avoid ETC only roads. Users who have registered with their local ETC highway agency, and have a valid transponder in their vehicle, can choose the 'maximize' setting to ensure they are routed on these ETC only highway

Do NOT buy from NAVDVDS.com They are FAKE. A few people on the Ridgeline Forums have been burnt by them. They don't have a phone number or email address. Only and online contact form. They don't reply quickly. Luckily, in my case, they are responding at all. I ordered 2 disks. They don't come with instructions and since they are fake require some strange process to use them. They still didn't work.I wasted $85 with them and had to order the $99/ea ones to get the real deal, working disks. I've disputed the charge with my bank. Which may be why they have returned my messages at all.

Regarding the backup camera, does the update help with the aspect ratio at all? Just bought my 07 last week and almost hit several cars using the backup camera only. I didn't expect it to totally replace the rear view or side mirrors but didn't think the aspect was so far off. It seems objects on the screen are a lot closer than they appear!
