Sigh, I hate it when people like him give me a bad name.
Get up at 6AM for school, home around 3PM, work 20-30 hours a week, and barely make the payments on my 97 2.5TL. My parents help me out, but they know its cause of how hard I work for it, I give them over $200/month for everything I have, I appriciate having the stuff, they appriciate the help.

wow, good thread, thank you for posting on this thread and entertaining me, cauz im at freaken work (yeah saturday).
M5....hmmm....i would love one. At 16 you really dont get a wiff of reality of monetary values of things you want and need. But I like the kid's amibition, but one advice, take life step by step....civic.......accord.............TL......... .......................M5.
lata and remember a car is to get from point A to point B, especially at 16, a fancy car is when you are already established with your priorities, school, work, house.

i feel you... when i first got out of highschool i got a job at Chevron and went to college full time... so from 8 to 3 college... then from 3:30 to around 8 or 10 depending on the day... so i know what you mean... poor Ianbiz3... doesn't know what work is...

Oh and about the Civic to Accord to TL to M5...
you should work yourself up Ian... for 2G's you can get a civic and save the other 78G's and put it in a bank or an IRA like someone said before in this thread... When you are my age... most likely you'll have enough cash saved up to get you 2 M5's... and if you save it still for about 10 more years most likely you'll have enough cash to buy yourself a big house or something... Girls don't care what kind of car you drive... a good girl would most likely see if you have a future... if you are driving around in an M5 and have no cash in the bank and are always broke... she's gonna see the car... fuck you and leave you... and so are your friends... they are going to be your friends just for the car... beleive me... i know... have fun while it lasts... Reality is just around your corner... and it comes right at you like a speeding truck...

BTW, my parents bought me a 1987 Acura Legend L Sedan in 1993 when I was 16. It was a $9k car at the time. Would I have liked a BMW 3 series? Of course. Am I grateful to this day that they were willing to buy me a Legend? Without question.

When I was 16, I got a 8 years old Chevy Citation. I didn't care. I was happy to have a car to drive around.
I make 6 digits annaul income and I will not buy a M5 or a 3 series for my son when he turns 16. It's not about the money. A 16 yo does not need a fancy car like that. When you can afford a car like M5 or 330, or M3 with your own money, the car will mean alot more to you and you will treasure it lot more.
You know, all others posted may sound bad/mean to you, but really, you asked, other answered.
