my Norton was telling me one day i was getting attacked thousands of times...in a panic, i IM'd Soopa and told him all the info and IP stuff
turned out it was my roomie's computer through the shared wireless router

Do not use any symantec product other than antivirus, parition magic , ghost and drive image.
the firewall and IDS suck even the enterprise ones. I've seen them in devlopement and QA and in production. TRUST ME ON THIS ONE.
but our services managed security services is top rated(may be because we don't use alot of symantec products)

If Norton sucks then tell me a package - or two applications max - that I can use to provide anti-virus, firewall/IDS, AND parental controls for my two youngins???
I'd dump Norton in a minute but haven't been able to replicate this without using 4 different packages.

But I do like the feature of "really bad adware is trying to access the internet" messages that it gives to alert me to crap that the 12 year old has downloaded by visiting "stupid-youngster macro-games".com.
