The Thanks Button needs to stay
The Thanks button is important and very useful in certain parts of the forum, namely the car subsection where members often give advice and helpful tips.
The Thanks button is like a proverbial pat on the back.
a good job, buddy.
you've done good today!

if you're getting butt hurt over the thanks button, you need to grow up.

Noticed the same this PM. Also had trouble with the site in general for a period of time. Kept on getting a database crash error. Now each time I come back to the site, I have to log in again - even though I have cookies enabled. Guessing something didnt synch when the site came back up or was rebooted??

May or may not be related but the site seems to be a little slower as well. Post count and points don't change/update immediately - just something I happened to notice.
Also I use the New Posts function a lot. When I use it now, posts are newish and not the most recent. If I reply in a thread and then hit New Posts, the thread I posted in would be at or near the top of the list. Lately it's nowhere on the first or second page at all. Again just observations for the Mods/Admins.

So I just hit the New Posts button and last update thread shows as 10:30 and it's 10:39

Summer is Coming
Maybe it is gone due to a short term database issue. If they meant to remove it then I agree it should stay. It is very helpful to encourage appropriate and positive posts, it also cuts down on meaningless 'I agree' posts.
It has been a positive part of the AZ culture that makes AZ such a valuable resource when compared to other well visited forums.
If it was taken away on purpose please bring it back. Thanks!

Seems like the "Thanks" buttons are baaaack.
