Introducing AcuraZine Shift Knobs

After more than a year of design and seven complete revisions, AcuraZine is poised to deliver a complete line of custom tailored Shift Knobs engineered exclusively for Acura vehicles!

Every detail of the AcuraZine Shift Knob has been meticulously examined and engineered to achieve the maximum look, feel, and effect. The material, shape, weight, height, and finish were all painstakingly scrutinized in realizing the final design.

Materials – A custom alloy of medical-grade stainless steel provides superior corrosion and tarnish resistance. The AcuraZine Shift Knob will maintain it’s luster throughout the life of your car.

Weight – Precision balanced to 472g (1.04lbs), the AcuraZine Shift Knob is exactly twice the weight of the factory Acura unit. Careful consideration was made to ensure the majority of the Shift Knob’s mass be placed at the very top to provide an incredibly smooth feel while shifting.

<a href="/assets/articles/4131949/knob_close.jpg"target="_blank">Finish – Machined to a satin finish, the AcuraZine Shift Knob maintains a micro-texture that ensures a solid grip without being abrasive.

Color – Darker than traditional stainless steel, the AcuraZine Shift Knob maintains a slight gunmetal coloration. Free of dirt and oil, the surface yields a striking rainbow effect.

Just in time for summer, AcuraZine Shift Knob’s will be available for the Acura CL, RL, TL, & TSX through our all-new store in June.

This is for MT transmissions only. We will have an AT version in the future but it will be designed specifically to fit the needs of AT users.

What exactly makes this a AcuraZine signature knob? Is there a logo somewhere?

Well one, we're custom producing them. Specifically, Dan Martin is, by hand. No Taiwan here.

Two, they will be available with the AcuraZine logo or without. Custom engraving will also be an option.

The price will be finalized in June. However, we hope to provide them for less than $50.

We will provide value-added features such as engraving, logo etching, etc for additional cost.

It looks like it sits in a little lower than the stock TSX shift knob... I'd assume this will work for the RSX, can you also make these for other applications since you're hand making them anyway?

When you etch a logo will it be made to align with the threading?

Dan are you an official vendor now?

Yes it sits lower than the stock knob, but if you order a knob with the shift pattern engraved, you need to use the lock nut. There are inconsistencies with the thread from car to car so the lock nut is unavoidable.

Wont it be incredibly hot in the summer? What if you're car sat out in the sun all day? Wont it be too hot to handle....literally. Might not seem like a big deal to you people up north, but here down south....anything metallic in your car can burn you if you accidentally touch it during the summer.

I'm open to the possibility but I'd need to learn more about the 1st gen CL and if there's a big enough market to justify the R&D.

It doesn't connect to the boot, it just screws down.
