Waxed her last weekend.

Beauty and the Beast^^

And a funny picture at my buddies driveway. It camel backs pretty bad but you cant tell from this angle except for the fact that my front lip is some how touching the ground.

Funny, for some reason the movie Forest Gump comes to mind when I see a lip like that.

Not for a while if I do.
I need to either find time for an oil change or pay someone. Im honestly leading to paying someone for the first time in I couldnt say how long. Work is just killing me.
I have the speeding ticket to pay, $367. Plus the tint and no plate, $50 +tint removal. Taking the tint off will be another $50 since I just dont do tint. Nor electrical. I dont do electrical.

Once that is taken care of I have a new timepiece in mind I want to snag up. THEN Ill be able to spend money on the ilx again. At which point I may start on my performance list before doing anything with the wheels... aside from spacers... which Im also undecided about. Id rather just buy some new wheels and say screw spacers and fancying up the OEs.

^ I almost forgot about the tickets. Speaking of which I mounted my front plate last weekend , still need to go get it signed off and send the check to pay the dumb thing.

I hear you on the tint removal I helped a buddy remove his once and it was a pain, shouldnt be too bad on the fronts though just need amonia and a razorblade, it comes off fairly easy with the exception of rear windows (the defogger is a PITA!)

Damn did you get a front plate ticket too?!

For 50 bucks worth of fees Ill keep my plate on. But Ill be retinting my windows asap and driving slower so cops go back to thinking Im some older guy with a nice acura minding my own business.

Im going to call and for an extension because Ive got both tickets 3 days apart and I dont want to go in different days to miss two days of work... or half days. Plus I get paid a couple days after the tickets so a week extension would do me amazingly... and handling them on the same day.

Thats what Ill say. In reality Ill be mailing my ticket and money in for the both tickets and only showing up to show proof.

Yeah I mounted my plate and just got to go get it signed off. Is highway patrol still free to sign off tickets? Irvine and Anaheim charge for it... A fee to stamp and sign a ticket how @&$?ing dumb is that!!!! So irritated right now

WOW, $50.00 last time I went to get a fix it ticket signed off the police station charged me 15/25 bucks and then I had to pay the 10.00 for the citation . Im going to go buy Highway Patrol and see if they will sign it off

I love the weather, but I am ready for a new scenery... I have family in NC and TN and if the opportunity presents itself I am outta here! I want to fix cars the way I like, Buy high cap magazines and get the choice of a lot more firearms

I think I am just tired of all of it, all the traffic, expensive housing prices, and then add all the completely idiotic laws and im over it!

And I may not do them white. I may hold off until the new year and buy new wheels.

You will have to find some shop that works with mirrors to custom cut them to fit and then use red loctite 3m double sided tape to adhear them to the existing mirror. Unless a company makes an overlay that is the only way I could think to do it?

yeah you could try that I just dont know if it would be good on the etched part where it say object in mirror... blah blah blah might look like when you tint windows over the manufacture info and it kinda bubbles or doesnt adhear to it. if that makes sense. If its completely flat where the text is then disregard that. I would check but I cant leave my desk right now...LOL

Haha I did a lot of research and it seems like people who tint their mirrors or used Lamin-X loss a lot of visibility! I wouldn't mind haha.

Dont use lamin-x for your mirrors. You will lose ALL visibility. I have it on my fogs. It would be like trying to look through 5 layers of clear wrap.

Tint however is made to be seen through. Just figure if you have 50% tint on your windows and 35% on your mirror you will maintain 15% visibility... people do worse to their side windows so go for it. Only issue I see is as neveronline mentioned.

Sadly I didn't get any good pictures. Installation was a hassle this time around.
Long story short, day 1 started at like 7pm. Got the rear done quick.
Moved to the front and the axle popped out. Even with supporting the hub with a jack. My heart literally dropped with the hub. lol
We got the axle seated again and finished that side up.
Got to the passenger side, this side handles a bit easier for us.

Took the car out down the block and there was a knocking sound. Drove back into the garage all depressed. It was late so we called it a night.
Next day started a little earlier, maybe 6pm this time. Ready to figure things out; we took the driver side front wheel off and took the suspension out again. We found the cv boot a little bunched up and would you know but the axle had popped out. After putting it back in and attempting to attach the strut assembly to the control arm we let the axle out AGAIN. It became apparent that unless you're at the perfect position you'll unseat the axle.

Got it back in. Drove around, slowly built my confidence. Now two days later and driving spiritedly; she's doing great.

Over excited I took this way late where there was a little light.

Then took a proper shoot today on my day off.

Next is a change to the wheel color. Maybe time for the grill as well.
Then I need to allow my engine to inhale exhale easier!
whoops. meant to comment on this post.

Changed my oil yesterday after work.
I was surprised to see the mpg reading resets with the oil life indicator.
But since I've changed the oil and reset it... as well as started using the bottom line gas verses the middle range (dealer told me to use top) my mpg has risen 2.5 as it sits right now and was as high as 27.4 earlier on the drive home. Turning the car off it was at 26.5 where as before the oil change I was averaging 24.1
Im thinking it's going to square away around 28 give or take which would be a 4 miles per gallon increase. No complaining here. lol Just didnt expect it.

I'm going to get the tint/plate ticket handled ahead of time. Then request an extension for my speeding ticket. Than an extension to pay for traffic school so I can spread out this money I need to fork out. Then I'll be able to start funneling the green into my car.

Also decided Im about done with plastidip. It's fun and all but just looks cheap and feels worse if you ever touch the plastidipped surface. Im going to keep it on my grill for a while... probably until I grab some wheels and which point do a lil face lift.
I need these tickets paid off!!

Yea, I second your comment on plastidip.

Regarding you car, I'm curious why your mpg numbers are so low. My MID would read 29 or better. In fact, I'd get made when it was in the low 29s. Haha, maybe you do drive more aggressively than me.

My only assumption is I must drive with a heavy foot.
I do see a majority of the drivers on the road to be slow so chances are I just drive to fast.

Hoping this stays on for a while. It motivated me to order some new DRLs so Ive got white halogens on the way to match the wheels while cruising during the day.

I dont take profile shot. lol
I guess I dont find them very flattering on the car.

Driver side used to be the hylian crest but is now onlt the rriforce. Its from legend of zelda. The passenger side is the fett clan symbol from star wars.
