Can you help

New to accurazine and looking for an answer to a tire question. Didn't know if you had the connections to help. If you can thank you, if not sorry to bother you. Thanks for any help.
I am buying new tires for an 2006 TL. Went to a generic place "Just Tires" they recommended SP Sport Signature or Fierce Instinct ZR. They run about $660.
Any Advice. Other Brands? THANKS!!

I'd suggest TireRack. Large selection and helpful staff. I buy my tires there and have for years!

I don't usually keep change in the car. But when I do, I have a plastic baggie in the armrest for change...makeshift solution, but since coins tend to stain plastic, it works better than any coin holder I've ever had

LOL, maybe I need to find that old Crown Royal bag that I used to keep coins in way back when. (I keep some in an Altoids tin in my desk, but that would be WAY too noisy in a car)

Yep, I use something similar... an old suede pouch with a drawstring. Works well and the coins don't jingle. A friend -- she's handy with crafts -- made it for me. In addition to liquor stores, you can find them at jewelry stores, crafts fairs, and maybe magic shops.

Wow, so you made a box? That's pretty funny but awesome at the same time. Although I guess it's "custom fit" for the space.

Yeah, not a fan of coins rattling around anywhere, but I've used the cup holders before. My sunglasses go there too. And the key to the car, when it's parked in the garage. Side note - I wish the door to the compartment with the USB plug-in would close, even with a USB cable coming out of it. Have to drive with that thing open all the time because I'm constantly hooked up to my phone.

In my 2005 TSX that I traded in and sorely miss, there was a "push down" coin storage compartment in the center arm rest. I thought this was a nifty design and very useful.

In my 2010 TL now, I sometimes place coins in the sliding compartment in the center armrest, which I also store my phone. I also use the "Not an ashtray" compartment to store coins since I do not smoke.

So Acura: What ever happened to the coin storage compartments that was in 1G TSX??? Minimal cost, maximum gain.

^they had that same coin storage thing in the old tl. I guess with the proliferation of credit card based parking meters, there's really minimal need to be carrying cumbersome coins.

Not to bump every thread on my first day, but I just go to the bank and get them in rolls. I don't keep loose change in the car as I feel it's messy. Once the coins run low, I take the loose coins I have inside to the bank and cash them in for new ones in rolls. Only mess is the paper you have to unravel.

I have a 1G and never use this. It is pretty hard to get to. I use the 'not an ashtray' When that fills up I dump that into an old cut-down 105mm howitzer round that was used as a ceremonial blank. Then when that fills it goes to coin star and then we go have a nice dinner.

For the user saying the little consol door wont close with a cable. Get the flat usb cables that are getting more popular. Theyll fit with the door closed.

Since there's cup holders on the door I use the middle cup holder for my change.

Nice sticker on your phone. hahaha

Ive wanted to turn by cup holder into a coin holder for a while now.

My idea is to buy a plastic or metal ring just big enough to NOT fit into the cupholder. I want to use the ring as the opening of a pouch like a basketball hoop. Imagine the bottom of the basketball net closed so the ball couldnt fall through. I want to make that sit in the cup holder so you can easily remove all the change by lifting the ring/pouch out of the cup holder.

Not long ago I took a trip to Downtown Houston... about 40 miles away. I left with the tank pretty low and as I was driving there it gave me the warning. By the time I got to my destination I really needed gas. When I got out of the store and got in the car I realized I forgot my wallet! Doh! I never forget my wallet. So I'm 40 miles from my wallet and no cash or cards on me. Then I remember I have a ton of coins in my 'not an ash tray' and I got over 4 dollars of gas with my change (at that time barely a gallon). Now I tuck a $20 bill below all that change. I'm glad I didn't just empty the ashtray.

Coins rattling around everywhere drives me INSANE. Since the car is new, coins go in the cupholder for now, but I think I'm going to put some sort of tupperware in the armrest soon.

About the USB door compartment closing, that's an issue for me too. I always shove the wires back into it and close it because it bugs me to have it open, but several times now I've left the car without my phone, which is a pain! It's hard to remember things down there, so maybe it's a good thing that it won't close sometimes...
