Help Needed! Tire Size for staggered 20 inch Vossen's

Need some feedback on a recommendation from my local tire shop.

I just ordered the Vossen VSF1s staggered 20x9 & 20x10.5. I read on the forum that 245/30 & 275/30 were a great fit. However, the only decent tires I see come in both sizes were the Michelin Pilot Super Sports $$$$.

My local tire shop recommended running some Hankook Ventus V12 evo2 K120 but the front tire size would go up to 245/35 and keeping the back at 275/30. They swore this would work with ride and fitment.

What do you all think?

Any recommendations?

Thanks!

Well, if you want to keep tire diameter as close to stock as possible so you don't throw off your odometer and speedometer, 245/35/20 is the exact same diameter as stock 225/55/17 tire while 245/30/20 is 3.6% smaller. It's recommended that you don't deviate from stock diameter by more than 3%

If 245/30/20 would work on a 20x9 wheel, why do you doubt a 245/35/20 tire wouldn't? They're both 245mm wide. Only difference is the 245/35 tire will have a slightly taller sidewall than the 245/30 tire.

The 275/30/20 tire is 0.9% smaller than stock.

So yeah, you'll be fine and better off with 245/35/20

Gartornight904 I notice you're in TX. If there's a Discount Tire near you, these guys have treated me really well with Vossen and performance tires. Here is Dallas they're really good.

haha. I actually only deal with discount tire when it comes to tires. I have only had great experiences there in FL & TX. Good to hear you think the same. I'm actually in Arlington. What set of vossens are you using & have you dropped you car?

What he said. I can't stand when people put 245/30/20s on, it looks stupid. 245/35 is waaaaay better looking and will match the rear sidewall profile better also......same setup I have, view my previous posts and you'll see pix of my car.

post pix when you are done, it will look sick.
