H&r vs. Rs-r lowering springs

Anyone know which one retains the comfort more? I want to drop my car but am looking for the option that does not sacrifice comfort the most. Thanks!

I went with the RSR and they are comfortable and not to low I am running 20x10 in the rear and 20x8 in the front and I don't rub and its fairly a smooth ride!

Thanks. I read somewhere that h&r's are more comfortable but i just feel that a 1.2 to 1.3 inch drop will ruin the oem shocks faster. I think 1 inch drop is perfect but was afraid ofnthe ride quality

I have the H&R and like the drop it gives. I don't have experience with the RSR but I feel the H&R are a bit soft for my liking. When I hit a bump or a dip on the highway, it bounces a lot. It could be alittle stiffer. Other then that, it's fine.

Yeah, I believe so. But it has to be a good size dip/bump on the highway.

I haven't heard anything bad about either of these kits. The H&R spring kit is designed to lower the vehicle, but also retain the comfort with its progressive spring design which leads to them seeming little softer until you start cornering and compress the spring a bit.

The RS-R springs are supposed to pair well with stock struts. They have about a half inch less drop then the H&R's which wont make a huge difference, but for preserving the life of the factory strut, the closer to OEM the better. To my knowledge; the RS-R's have a stiffer spring rate, however H&R doesn't like to give out spring rate information so unfortunately that comparison is pretty hard to make.

We have both on our site ready to ship!

H&R: 51846 - H&R Springs - Sport Springs - Excelerate Performance - European, Exotic and Japanese Performance Specialists!!
RS-R: http://store.excelerateperformance.com/rsr/rsr-springs-down-sus/h900d/i-2201810.aspx

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions!

I have RSR with my SH-AWD. Called RSR confirmed they fit. Called H&R they told me WONT fit for all wheel drive. I love the ride of the car but for some strange reason I am having a noise come from the front right of the car. It sort of clangs ever so slightly when Im driving on roads that are not paved well. Im in the process of swapping out for another or not sure if its the spring or not

Thanks for answering that spoiler900, I just saw this!

I know you have the RSR Springs, but Eibach has some pretty good tech tips on their site for installing springs. Perhaps looking over the list could lead you to an answer on where your noise is coming from!

Good luck!

Thanks! I had it professionally installed with a highly reputable shop. We have taken it off and on twice and it still makes noise. We even put my original springs back on the front and the noise went away, put the RSR back on and noise is back. We are hoping its defective and will be swapping out a spring soon they are on back order right now

I bought the H&R and had them installed in my AWD about 2.5 years ago. I don’t know why they said they would not work. You do feel the road more then the stock ones. The stock suspension was overly cushy. They were really bouncy over certain areas on the freeway but that has tamed down after a year or so. I drove a rental new civic recently and the bumps and suspension travel on those seemed much harsher then the H&R. My wife isn’t the biggest fan because she originally loved the cloud feeling of the stock springs but with those it felt dangerous swaying back and forth with some of my spirited driving.
