BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S, hawt damn!

I can't believe these tires! They are easily the best tire I've ever had on any car. They don't have significant road noise, but they stick to the road like you wouldn't believe for an all-season! I'm SUPER impressed and for anyone who wants your TLX to handle better, you should look at the BFGoodrich G-Force Comp-2 A/S.

I took a corkscrew onramp that was signed at 35 km/h at 90 km/h+, and the tires didn't squeal at all! I was flooring it the whole way up the ramp.

Agreed, these have always been my favorite but went with Michelin pilot super sports for my last set. Not really worth the money compared to the comp 2's imo

I love the look of these tires. I'm going to pick up a set next week as well.

Yeah I was actually looking at the Michelins you have, and luckily somehow my best friend persuaded me otherwise, and I'm glad he did. I don't think the Michelins would have been a bad tire, just that for a good tire they were priced high.

I used to have these on a Seat Toledo some time back across the atlantic... bought them purely on how they look, but on the second day won 20 bucks on a bet with my friend as he couldn't hand brake 180 on these tires on a slightly damp empty parking lot
Lots of grip in the wet, solid tire

Went to go get another set of these and no dice. They said they can't be ordered and are none in Texas. Womp womp.

I got another set of pilot super sports and got 50 off of each tire so it's not all bad

How is this compared to continentals dws extreme contact? Looking at 255x9.5x19 and the difference between the 2 is $31 per tire.

Yeah I'm sure you can get them other places but discount tire said they have been replaced with a new model. Now if this is true across the board or just at discount tire, I'm not sure. Just thought I'd share since finding this out was sucked just a little.

I've never gotten the Continental DWS ExtremeContact, but from the reviews I was looking at, if I'm recalling correctly, some people complained about excessive sidewall flex while cornering hard. I did look at those though and ultimately didn't go with them due to that. My BFG's are holding up well by the way even under hard driving.

The bfg's are also a louder tire. Id be interested to know if youngtl notices that it not in the 5g. In my 2g and 3g the road sound increased considerably. That would be my only complaint but that's small compared to price and performance.

IMO the TLX has pretty good noise isolation/sound deadening. It's not a huge issue. The noise increased ever so slightly, but not enough that I noticed it immediately. It's somewhat more noticeable over rough pavement (the noise) but for general driving it's not really any louder that I can tell, and my boyfriend couldn't tell either (he drives my car regularly as well).

Sounds like a quiet tire and low rolling resistance is more important to you. In that case, then yeah the BFGs are not the right tire for you. They aren't loud by any means, but quietness is like their third priority. I'd say it's 'average' for quietness. Maybe you should look at the Continental DWS06 A/S tires.

new newer iteration of the DWS, the DWS06 has a stiffer sidewall than it's old version, the regular DWS.

Agreed...... Can't believe how chunky they look from the side though! And they are priced quite well
