Painful experience
I bought a 2016 TLX on May 30th. It now has less than 2,500 miles. Been in the shop now 4 times for a total of 12 different issues. Everything from transmission, computer malfunctions, and warping of door molding and the dash itself. When is enough enough? Should at this point I be pushing for a buyback?

As I recall, you have the 2.4. Sure sounds like a multitude of problems for a version of the car which many owners feel is quite bulletproof. Perhaps you could share copies of the dealer work orders so the experts here could have a better feel for the problems? Thanks.

Thanks for the replies. Yes it is the 2.4 with the tech package. I will post the service work orders when I get my car back from the dealer. I have looked at the lemon law for my state. I have also been in touch with Acura client relations.

Acura had nothing to do with it. A dealership that had an extremely bad reputation now under new ownership fighting to repair it's reputation. Fixed it to avoid more bad publicity! However they told me they will just resell the bad one. Still will end badly for them in the end.

You'll be happy with the bump in power. Otherwise, they're mostly the same.

Goodness, they as the dealer must ask for defective ones at a lower cost and sell and hope customers don't bring it in. That's just insane to have all these issues. I truly believe Acura was in such a scramble to get rid of the 4G styling that they cut corners on the TLX. There's like 10 trim levels lol. Crazy. I hope it all works out

Say what? Stop car, put in neutral, apply E-brake, let off brake, then put in park???
This is just s few of the requests from the defective car. You will notice they blame window tint for the Windows malfunction. Also say the lights are not designed to come on when unlocked. Another false statement. Missing ones are the door handles failing while at the dealership. And auto door locks repeatedly locking while driving.

^^ I'm pretty sure the work orders are for the 2.4 he was having trouble with. I had asked him to post them. Scripted obliged - thanks to him for that. Sounds like he had a complete lemon to me. Hope it all works out.

That was all but two work orders for the 2.4 tlx. The last 2 are missing as it was bought back prior to them being fixed.
