Engine vibration! Causing rattling noise inside cabin
Keeping it nice a short.
Has anyone experience excessive engine vibration ? 4cyl tech. 32k miles
When my car is in Drive at a complete stop, the engine doesn't idle nicely and causes the engine to vibrate violently.
When I put it in Nuetral or park or start driving then the bad idle goes away and the vibration stops.
How I found out was hearing a rattling noise inside the car. Traced it back to a vibrating engine.
Anyone experiencing this? Anything helps!
The dealer checked everything and said there is nothing wrong with my car. But this rattling noise started happening at 20k miles.

Potentially motor mounts could be the issue. Your dealer sucks if they couldn't figure out your car has some issue it didn't before. Like Rocket_man says, try a different one.

Known issue on current gen Honda/Acura 4-cyl engines (2.4 L). Honda uses balancer shafts, however this problem is inherent to large displacement 4-cyl engines. Owners of CR-V, Accord and TLX have reported this very problem. Blame it on low idle RPM to save fuel combined with additional load being placed on the engine since the torque converter is engaged while in gear at a stop.

I have this exact issue on my 2015 4cyl....getting worse and taking my car on Friday. My guess is engine mounts, but anyone with any other suggestions? The rattle goes away as soon as I put the car in neutral.

Keep us posted. Sounds like it's the nature of the beast unfortunately.

Mine is about the same, but recently there is a new noise appeared. It sounded like metal clanging. It will stop if I put it in Neutral or turn the steering wheel. Any updates on your fix OP?

Totally different car and engine, but I had a somewhat similar problem on my 4G TL. I spoke to my mechanic over the phone and he suggested I reset the ECU (pull battery cable for 15 minutes or so) so it could "relearn" the idle procedure. I did and it seems much better now. Still a little vibration but well within what I'd consider normal.
