XLR8 2015+ TLX AWD 3.5 Exhaust & J-Pipe Release Announcement!
We are excited to announce the release of our XLR8 J-Pipe and Catback Exhaust for the 2015+ Acura TLX! At this time these components only fit the AWD 3.5L model, but stay tuned for future updates.
Our exhaust components are made from full T304 stainless steel and are mandrel bent and TIG welded for excellent fitment and performance!
Hear them on Youtube!
Here are some pictures of our exhaust with tips!

Nice! Do you know what kind of hp/lbs numbers the J pipe alone adds? And what numbers the Jpipe + cat back together add?
i don't see HFPC or PCD's on the website and can't tell if they were replaced on the TLX in the video so is this just J pipe and cat back?
Thanks!

We can't post pricing here since it's not a sales thread, but you can get more information and pricing by visiting our web-store.

We do not have HFPC's or PCD's at this time. Right now it is just our Jpipe with 3rd cat delete and catback exhaust. Tampering with the precats usually means a CEL, noxious fumes, and more rasp, so we don't recommend swapping those out.
Here is a link to more info on our Jpipe as well:

We are actually looking for a volunteer in the Phoenix, AZ area to drop off their FWD TLX at our facility for a few days for test fitting. The volunteer would get free jpipe and exhaust! Once this happens, we'll have a FWD system available for purchase.

We don't have any dyno numbers (yet!) but we're hoping to have some in the near future. We expect the horsepower gains to be similar to the 3G/4G TL at about 20hp and 25+tq.

Even if you use HFPC's such as from RV6? My TLX is my daily driver and I commute 40 miles each way, every day. I want the extra power & torque(more so the torque) but I'm not sure if I'm going to like the loud exhaust with commuting 2 hours per day. What do you think about RV6's HFPC's with your J-Pipe and the rest stock(mufflers, etc.)?

We're still working to populate our website, but we should have all the details up early next week such as piping diameters and tip sizes.

Also, does your J-Pipe require any cat delete's or is it direct bolt on with stock system? I know you said this particular car has J-Pipe with 3rd cat delete & cat back but didnt know if the cat delete is required for J-Pipe or was done due to the Cat back.
Did you happen to make any video's with just the J-Pipe and not cat back system?
Thanks!

Those horsepower gains were with our V2 Jpipe and the AEM V2 intake on a otherwise stock TL-S. Our Jpipe for the TLX deletes the third cat, so it is required to delete the third cat in order to run the Jpipe. Unfortunately we don't have any video footage of just the Jpipe at this time.

Sorry on the delay with my review of the Jpipe and catback. There are two different tip options you can choose from. One option is with the tip slightly poking out underneath the bumper, and the other is the stealth option; like stock. As much I would like the exhaust tips to show without any modifications, your best option is to get the one that slightly shows the tip. The down side with that option, it might not clear if you have an underbody kit. If you have the underbody kit or decide to get one later, get the stealth option. I went with the stealth option, because I'm getting an underbody kit. FYI: In the video it's showing the stealth option and the pictures are showing the tip slightly showing.
I'm sure everyone is wondering how it sounds. It doesn't sound stock anymore! The exhaust gives the car a nice growl. At start up the car sounds really mean (especially cold start). When you're driving around town the throaty tone is subtle and not over powering. Unless you have a lead foot the exhaust will be screaming. I have to admit at WOT its a little on the louder side, but that's with any type of exhaust at WOT. Overall, it is a solid system from the Jpipe to the catback.
I'm trying to get a video and some photos up, but it is too hot out in the Arizona heat.

Also how does the acceleration feel vs stock? According to ExcelerateTom the Jpipe + Catback is 25-30hp / 30-35lbs gain.
My last question may be better answered by ExcelerateTom. I saw the quick part of the video taking out the old exhaust and putting the new one on. Was there any weight savings from Jpipe 3rd cat delete and cat back vs stock? Just wondering if both systems were weighed for comparison.
Thanks!

Unfortunately we did not record the weight differences between the oem exhaust components and our XLR8 stainless steel exhaust components, so I don't have an answer for you.

Thank you for that quick review. I'm definitely interested in seeing your videos. I'd like to see one from inside the cabin as well to hear how it sounds idling, cruising around, and some hard throttle/WOT runs. You don't have a CAI correct?

The noise in the cabin is pretty noticeable. If you like a car in a more quiet side, aftermarket exhaust is probably not for you. Yes, sometimes I wish this exhaust is a little more quiet, but I listen to music on the louder side so it drowns it out. I noticed that you know when the VCM kicks in with the exhaust. The exhaust note changes to a lower rumble...its hard to describe. Basically you know when 3 cylinders kicks in and once you accelerate that note changes back to normal. Only happens on Eco, Normal, and Sport mode. Sport+ is just one solid note throughout because VCM is off.

I sent an email your way regarding my 2015 FWD TLX V6 Test Vehicle. I wasn't prepared last year; but now that I have a second vehicle, I can easily send my car your way in AZ. I'm ready if you still are
Thanks!

Might want to turn up the speakers up.
This is what the car sounds like inside the cabin. Video is a little long, but also an idea what it sounds like inside with regular driving. I'll try to get more videos as soon as I can.

Ok, I did a video with a camera mounted outside the car. Having trouble getting the right angle of the camera, so I just faced it down. Sound quality isn't the best because the case muffles the sounds so much and my license plate frame clunking doesn't help either. Sound on the camera doesn't justify the sound in person. The video is kind of long...8 mins and some odd seconds. I was on Sport+ mode using the flappy paddles. Turn up the volume, but some parts of the video are a bit loud... Enjoy!
You guys want more videos like this?
Any suggestions on the sound quality?

I've been so busy lately that I finally got my car tinted yesterday and I've had it for 11 months now lol

Thank you for the in cabin video. After listening to mid-throttle to WOT I'm not a fan of how loud it is. So i'm thinking of just sticking with the J-Pipe whenever I pull the trigger. I wish there was a video of someone with just the J-Pipe with everything else stock.
