TPMS sensors are expensive $$$$

Anyone here with good experiences buying cheaper TPMS sensors than OEM..?

Yes. Buy used. Seriously.

Otherwise, it's $80 a pop.

When you say used, do you mean refurbished..? Like they've taken the sensor apart and replaced battery..?

Any tire dealer should have generic sensors that can be configured to work with Honda/Acura vehicles. I had one for now for 4 months and not had any problems and it even told me when that tire was low once. While installing my new tires a local dealer broke one of my OEM sensors. He replaced it for free but he said they normally charge $35 for the part.

That sounds more resonable than the $126.00 apiece that my Acura dealer quoted. Thanks for the advice !!

Tire rack always list like 38 dollar 315mhz tire pressure sensor when I have bought them in the past and amazon has some for 43.10. The tirerack ones have been on my snowtires for like 3 ish years

Uhm, no. Buy used like from the forum's classified, or craigslist, or ebay. There was a thread with the correct part number you can find. You can probably find a set for around $120 -150 used. Sometimes they go less than $100.

Aftermarket is another route but I haven't done it.

$126 a piece is really expensive. You can find new OEM unit for about $80 online. Google for OEM Acura parts should yield some good websites.

go aftermarket, some of the pricing for OEM sensors is crazy!

Some people are using Toyota sensors, part number 42607-0C070 without issues. $50 on eBay.

oh wow, never heard that the Toyota sensors are compatible...I know the GM 315mhz sensors that were in my wheels were not
