^^^^^

The point is that, the intake/j-pipe/exhaust upgrades will somewhat help to quicken up the otherwise much-slower big-wheeled car.

However, nothing will help to improve the worsened handling performance (other than cornering capability) as a result of the heavy-ass unsprung weight (big-wheel/wide-tire).

That's exactly what I,m saying! If you want to take a SH AWD for instance, do coilovers, all the aformentioned performance goodies and go with the giant "bling" wheels, you comprimise all the benefits of everything else! I don't understand why you would want to do that. If, on the other hand, it's about show, then get the big wheels and forego all the other performance stuff.

If it's about performance best to stick with the factory wheels and get some stickier tires.

Or even better, with light-weight aftermarket wheels.

True. Haha. But lightweight 18's would look retarded with the factory tire sizes. Just my opinion but you could gain more performance.

Hey Mellow
Im considering the AG M590 or M510 19x8.5 front and 19x9.5 rear for the concavity looks.. The M590 certainly looks real nice on ur ride there. Ive never seen the M590 in person tho'... How do u like the rims so far and how is the quality? Do u have any issues during the duration of having it on ur car?

Shu you'll probably get a lot of different reasons, but I won't bs you. I like the big wheels for the looks. I think it looks good. Any other reason (performance, ride, etc.,) and I would be bs'ing you. Not to say other guys out their may have more legit reasons. That's just my reason.

What do you consider "such giant?" We are only 1-3" bigger then factory depending on what model you have. Not like we are rolling around on 24's.

It's a big chassis. 20" wheels compliments it perfectly.

No kidding. I wish more people ran a 50 series tire, said no one ever...

Keep this thread on track. It is rather valuable to those who are upgrading wheels.

thanks... I mean the cars do look great, the rim choices are vast and interesting to see... just to big.

+2 or +3 in some cases is to much imho even if the styles are beautiful.

I just sold my 6-6 accord, and it was only running 17's... and i am looking to upgrade my shawd tl to a similarly... probably 18's and 10-10.5" in at least 45 series, maybe even 50 series. EVER :P

To each there own but 18x10-10.5 makes less sence then 19-20" rim. And sure, you'll have a big tire because it's only 18's. Stock tires are 45 series. I hope you plan on lowering the car with your future setup.

Don't forget to add your pictures and specs in here so anyone wanting to go with wide 18's can see the final product. It'd be a good addition to this thread since it's only 19" and 20" wheels.

Same car with the stock 18's. I haven't gotten rid of them and have swapped out to these for autocross. And they're not bad looking wheels, it's just that 18's ... I'm just not feel'n it shows off the car well. Especially since Acura OEM already offers some 19 inch wheels OEM. That was the one disappointment I had when I bought the car. A top of the line SH-AWD Tech with a 6 Speed M/T and it came stock with 18's.

Would of had to get the advance to get the 19's.

Been looking at these wheel for awhile, I'll more than likely go with 19x10's though. Where did you order the custom bolt pattern from?

Directly from Rotiform. I had them machine it to 5x120

Yup. I got my roof and fin antenna wrapped in gloss black when I got my car (~2 years ago). The wrap is holding up pretty well.

20 staggered wheels

Hi all,

I have a CBP 2010 TL- SH and looking for a set of 20 staggered wheels for the summer. I am debating on putting HR springs depending on how the wheels look. Since I am doing staggered what offsets for the front and rear are recommended? tire sizes? Any pics? I am looking at the Rohana RC10's in matte black and trying to avoid the rear wheels from sticking out and looking odd. I just want a smooth look.

Any information would be appreciated.

First off how wide are you going? 20x9, 20x10? And why Springs instead of Coils. Have you took the time out to look thur the Pictures on here to have an Idea?

I am debated on the 9 or 10 inch wide in the rear. I would prefer 9 so avoid rolling diameter issues(AWD and the front will be 9) but i was that concave look in the rear. I did look thru the pics and still need to do research on how the offsets work.

Springs because of the price.

You might want to look on here with the Coilers and Springs comparison. I will tell you do what most of us did. Save up to get a good set of coil overs and maybe even a Chamber Kit. What car did you have before this?
