BRIDGESTONE TURANZA SERENITY PLUS are a Grand Touring All-Season Tire ranked 8 of 10 in the Grand Touring Category on Tirerack. It should be about $700 plus install for a set of 4.
Tirerack.com is a great place to research and buy!
Recommendations:
If you want a stickier tire with 1/5th less life than the All-Season Tires, Ultra High Performance All Season Tires are great! They are a tad louder, but the grip they give is worth it. I run the Continental DWS06 on my TL and Accord. They can go through a foot of snow easily when I'm in NY and handle the power in the sunny FL days without an issue.
UHPAS - Continental DWS06 245/50/17 99W should be about $800 installed and there is a $70 mail in rebate! 50K Mile Warranty on the tires
GTAS (#1): Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus 245/50/17 99V are #1 in the GTAS category, 70K mile warranty. Should be about $650 for a set. Very quiet and grippy Tires
GTAS (#2): Kumho Solus TA71 245/50/17 99V are #3 in the GTAS category, 60K mile warranty and should be about $500 for a set.

Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus I would pick over the EL assuming you are after a smooth ride go with grand touring category
Pirelli Cinturato P7 All Season Plus (Unlimited Time / 70,000 Miles),
Kumho Solus (6 Years / 60,000 Miles) ,
Continental PureContact with EcoPlus Technology (6 Years / 70,000 Miles) , or
Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus (5 Years / 75,000 Miles (V-Speed Rated))
Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus 4g owners gave it 4.5, 4.5, 4, 4.5, 3.5, 4.5, and 5. (out 5)
Pirelli Cinturato p7 - 4 , 5, 5 ,and 3.5
Kumho - No 4g TL data ( just TSX gave it 4/5)
Continental PureContact - 4.5 and 4.5
Continental DWS06 - 3.5, 5, and 4.5
Though you have to remember score are really still a subjective value.
I have drove the Bridgestone Turanza Serenity Plus on my TL for while, they were quiet and smooth ride and solid for an all season tire in the snow
(Sidenote: I use snow tires so I personally think all allseason fairly suck in the snow and ice)
If you want more of responsive feel then look at the Continental DWS06 (6 Years / 50,000 Miles) or another Ultra High Perforamnce
Conversely, Grand touring tire will give the smoother ride/quiet ride in general longer mileages warranty.
If you are going to buy local like discount tire or such, instead of tire rack, use the 30 days ride guaranty . If you dont like it, go back in and change to another.

On the stock Sh-awd 18's I have Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3. So far, so good. I have some 19's for the summer which I run the BFGoodrich G-force Comp 2 A/S & they haven't disappointed me either. I'm from the Pacific NW so having a good set of all seasons is a must for me especially the way I drive. All of the above that the fellas mentioned isn't a bad choice either. Your best bet is to go to tire rack & check out the reviews & videos. Best of luck...

I have a 2012 TL AWD and currently have 18" wheels. I am unhappy with the loud road noise and feeling all the bumps, was wondering if anyone had success going down to 17" and bigger tire side wall for comfort or road noise. Anyone know if it will fit on the brakes of the car?
Thanks

The tires could be loud due to a bad alignment or due to being worn down! You can certainly go to a 17" rim to provide more comfort! All you have to do is make sure the offset is the same as the factory wheel or close to it so the rim clears the caliper. You can find many 4g TL wheels in the used section, craiglist, etc.

BRIDGESTONE TURANZA SERENITY PLUS are some of the worst tires I have driven on
Don't get the SERENITY PLUS, have them on my wife's car. Noisy and uncomfortable (makes the ride harsh) compare to her original 6 yr old tires (GY Eagle something... don't remember what the exact name was). Fortunately, got them from Costco and replaced with Mich. MXM+

I mean it was like night and day better than the stock RS eagle crap I had. She drove the car constantly that first year with those tires and it was smoother, and quieter than the leased 14 Avalon Limtited. . Where I got stuck with her leased car over the TL constantly. Though she liked the Summer Super Sport tires even more
Make you wonder if people with 19 inch vs 18 or 17 rims had totally different feedback, Like I said weird.

I put these tires on at 27,000. They have about 10,000 miles on them and have worn very little and are still quiet. I like them. I have always bought Michelins in the past.

Totally agree with avi8or. I put the Pirellis on at about 40k to replace the OE Turanzas. They totally transformed the car, rode better & quieter. Handling also improved. They also handled snow better than I expected. Excellent tire at an excellent price.
