didn't think of unplugging it first. so yes, while in tact.
yet, i did the same with the under door lights... no problem. if and when i get this fixed, same here... i'm not touching it again. stay with stock.

When they were diagnosing my car, they took out the rear seats...I guess they were tracing the line but it made me cringe. You might want to tell them that you suspect the driver's side fuse box which has the MICU.

Hey y'all. Sorry haven't been able to post for awhile because I've been really busy.
Anyway if it turns out to be the driver side fuse box, would it the one under the dash board or in the engine bay? I found a few interior MICUs for around bucks however does it have to be the same model for it to work? I have a 12 fwd tech and there's one that is from an AWD TL.

well, just got my car back from the dealership... like spooky, it was the MICU. i was up front and honest when i called to schedule an appointment. i told them that i installed aftermarket led bulbs throughout the car... and some bulbs with plug and play resistors.
service guy came back with... "no problem" bring it in. took the car in on friday, got it back on tuesday... they even provided a new TLX loaner for me (too bad it wasn't the GT)
while i had it in... had the trans fluid change done, and hood shocks replaced (warranty). they started sagging a bit. -- excellent, excellent service.
before calling this dealer i took it to a closer one near home... service guy wouldn't touch it since i had aftermarket DRL led bulbs. he said that will void the warranty, and to speak with his manager when he returns from vacation. i won't talk bad about this dealer in an open form.
here's the pic of the my invoice from the dealer that performed the excellent service. the invoice has MICV, but it's really MICU. hope this helps others out.
and no way am i touching this stock bulb ever again. dim bulb... not a problem for me.

So I got a used fuse box off of ebay and installed it. The car starts up but then shuts off and a green key light is blinking. I believe it has to do with the immobilizer or do I have to reprogram my smart keys?
