- Rattles - a pillar near the tweeters, somewhere in the door and rear deck cover. Probably will have more..
- Glovebox's latch mechanism stuck ( Hoping I won't get pulled over due to my insurance information inside ) Under warranty but part is on backorder
Minor issues so far

Rattles on passenger side B-pillar. Dealership fixed.
Glove box elbow rest squeaky. Used vaseline on rubber stoppers.
Hmm that's about it. Come to think of it... my issues are pretty stupid. Still pretty rock solid.

2009 TL Tech SH-AWD, ball park figures.
Total so far: ~ $1200 warranty and my work combined. I have spent a lot more on car washes
- Front door speakers started coughing - lol, changed them myself $50
- Prop shaft bearings, changed shaft under warranty $1000
- Torque converter: software update under warranty, did a 3 times tranny oil drain and refill. Vibration at low speed in 4th gear issue gone, but sometimes it comes back when too too too hot. $30
- Passenger side window switch rattled: added some two sided foam tape underneath. $10
- Headliner driver side rattle: added some more two sided foam tape under the edge of the headliner. $10
- Drive Belt Tensioner pulley bearings: a scratching noise when too cold causing the belt to slightly fall out of alignment, changed it myselft. $100
- One TPMS gone: I suspect self-inflicted after I cleaned the wheels and pushed it a bit hard it started leaking. $50
- A couple of dents here and there but these don't count!

2012 SH-AWD Tech
1. TPMS - failed and replaced under warranty but to be honest, I think it was due to when my wife scraped a curve at 30mph.
2. Heat Shield - slightly bent out of shape and caused somewhat of a grinding noise and fixed under warranty.
3. Rattles - a) sunglass holder - fixed by laying down some padding.
b) overhead handle - placed small rubber stopper inside the handle... not sure if it resolved it yet.

2010 TL AWD 6MT: New King
I have ~45,0000 miles on my 2010 TL 6MT. Issues I have and had (excerpt from another thread), most minor annoying issues, some not so minor:
1) 3rd gear pop out (which I got the dealership to fix under warranty with a 3rd gear and clutch assembly replacement)
2) Excessive oil consumption (I'm currently undergoing on the 1,000 mile consumption test).
3) Rear head rests springs replaced (under warranty)
4) Oil sensor recently replaced as part of the oil consumption issue ($160 by the stealership, which I suspect in after thought it didn't need replacement).
5) Ongoing low speed "engine diesel/rattle noise" that I'm not sure if it's heat shield, engine ping from gas octane issues, or what.
6) The rare 1st-2nd gear shift "screech" that is not resolved and is so infrequent I the stealership of course can't replicate it.
7) I suspect that my rear shocks are going bad b/c I can hear a slight "squeak" coming from the rear when I get into the car. My mechanic took a look and as of now he feels the shocks are still ok FWIW.
8) During summer and the hot months, the sunroof if open it will not close fully and will reopen. This issue goes away after the car cools down.
9) An occasional creak coming from the driver's side A-pillar when the car starts accelerating from a stop on an incline.
Compared to my 2005 TSX I had at 51,000 miles, the TSX had NO issues whatsoever other than a TSB for headlight cover replacement. I have a feeling the SH-AWD 3.7 V6 is more problem prone (esp the 6MT) than the FWD 3.5 V6 counterpart.

Thinking back, my 11 Oddy had this in the passenger front and I don't remember the specifics but something in the suspension needed to be lubed up.

I know you asked about SH-AWD only but for perspective I thought I would add my $0.02.
My car is base 21010 fwd.
Front pass side door speaker replaced under warranty.
Roof rattle, very annoying.
Other than that, no issues at 71,000 km.
If it wasn't for the damn rattle car would be perfect.

^ Well, wait until we log about half a million miles before we draw any conclusions
Torque converter, oil consumption, prop shaft... big ticket issues. All combined have reduced the resale or trade-in value.

Drivetrain vibration - software upgrade
Driver's seat panel falling off (due to poor dealer install of headrest DVD players)
Battery
Love the car but as with any vehicle, there are some issues. My center speaker is currently blown but again, my fault for blaring the music through my iPhone. Rattles - who cares, all cars have them.

Getting propeller shaft replaced this coming weekend and I'm going to try and get a new muffler/tip to replace the passenger side unit that is out of alignment for no apparent reason. Is the exhaust misalignment an isolated issue for 2012's only?

- 3rd gear issue that dealership has has yet to duplicate. now that i shift slowly and very deliberately, i haven't experienced the issue (going on a year now)
- stuck open/tilted moonroof whenever there is moisture on the roof ie after/during drizzling rain

2009 TL-SH with Tech. 46k miles.
1. Driver's side door speaker distorted, replaced under warranty
2. Steering wheel clicking sound, replaced under warranty
3. GPS unit randomly reboots, waiting for part to come in to be replaced under warranty
4. Driver's seat loose/slightly shifts back and forth, taking it in next week
5. Torque converter software update
6. Driver's side headliner rattle, fixed myself with some foam tape
That's all in the last two months, thanks to this website. I intentionally searched for the common issues and had them fixed while the CPO warranty is still in effect.
Anyone experience a weird vibration/sound at low RPM's (like 1500) and low speeds? Particularly when going uphill? Sounds like a driveline vibration that I think some AWD cars experience, but the dealership is unable to duplicate.

Hmmm...well I bought the car two months ago, and the dealership did the update when they were prepping it as a CPO. So I'm not sure if it vibrated before the update. It feels like the vibration is coming from underneath the car, sounds like a weird loud growl, but goes away as soon as I press the gas a bit harder, or let off the gas. There is a sweet spot that makes this sound.

Forgot two things:
1. Door lock outside button stopped working, both sides. Probably because of winter weather? + $250 to my previous total issues estimate
2. Navi: Alaska is a Canadian province? Really?
... Torque converter issue has totally ruined a very reliable and nice car.

From reading different forums the torque converter seems to affect AWD more than FWD. Makes me glad I got a FWD. I still sometimes wish I got the AWD though.
#36
What's going on with your navi? Mine has been the same; it would show me driving one street over, get confused easily, and randomly reboot back to the Acura screen multiple times a day. I finally got it to replicate and the dealer ordered a new one under warranty that I'm waiting to get installed.

Keeping TL until 2029
2009 Tech AWD - Under warranty - Propeller Shaft, Navi Unit (Voice Control Not working), Black button on door handle replaced. Not under warranty - Rusty mirror edge. This car is still awesome!

No problem whatsoever except the sunroof rattle that was associated with the TSB
