Angry 2014 TL Advanced Thump/Bump when starting

TL Advanced, 6sp Auto, ~30k mi

Anyone have an issue where you hit the start button, the engine turns over and there is a thud sound/feeling? I took the car in for some other fixes and had them check the motor mounts to see if there was a failure. Their test was to have the hood open, car running and in gear, foot on brake, then push on the gas to see if there was abnormal movement in the engine. They concluded that they didn't see anything that would indicate an issue. They repaired the other things I took it in for, and kept it overnight to see if it would make the bump when it was cold.

The car continues to do it.

Thoughts?

I'm not a mechanic but I experienced this on my 07TL. It may not be the motor mounts but there is something not fastened. Did you try having someone else start the vehicle while you look and see if you can detect an area of concern?

I will take a look, thanks for the suggestions. I am coming up on a service soon, so I will mention it again to them.

My car was making a funny noise during cold start ups also. They replaced the starter and i haven't heard the noise since. It had to be near freezing before it would make the noise.
