I sure did! I got her washed and dried on Friday night, then got up and started on the real work first thing Saturday morning. 6 hours later and she had never looked better! I was exhausted but it was well worth the effort.
The polish I bought is slightly more abrasive than what I was previously using so it eliminated the small scratches that the other one couldn't. The sealant was a nice finish too.
Of course now that it's almost summer she got rained on my first day back at work
You're welcome man. I totally understand...it took me quite some time to make my wheel choice. I'm a very analytical person so I put a lot of time and effort into finding something I really liked that wouldn't break the bank.

Haha, I actually didn't take any! This was probably the first time I failed to take pics after a detail but I've realized that with my camera and lack of photography skills the difference in photos from a dirty car to a washed car to a fully detailed car isn't much.

[QUOTE=ucf_bronco;15032386]Thanks man! I know what you mean...it gets hot as hell in FL too but nothing a good AC can't take care of. Well, it would be nice if my 2010 also had cooled seats because there are some areas the AC doesn't cool down
haha ohhh good ol "swamp ass" LOL, my last car was a DSG mach 1 with black leather and I burned my ass every time I got in the car. Exactly why I went with BWP this of my TL...

Nice...I just splurged on some detailing supplies and equipment myself! Dropped around 3 bills; I'm hoping it will pay for itself eventually lol.

It absolutely will! Just think of what you would've spent to pay a professional to do the job. I just dropped $150 to have my wife's Pilot done as I didn't feel like doing it myself and felt it would be a nice treat for her (plus I wanted to pay the guy who recently helped me with my car and charged me next to nothing). I spent about $15 less than that on my supplies and they'll last for quite some time (doing both the TL and Pilot going forward).

I understand some like the look and some think it's 4x4. I personally love it so that's all that matters.
I was leaving a parking lot this past weekend, pulling out into traffic. It had a steep decline and was a single lane exit so I couldn't really go down at an angle. This was one of the MANY times I was glad not to be lowered because I would've scraped like crazy.
I want to drive without worrying about every little dip, bump, dead animal, entrance / exit, etc. IMO the slight enhancement in appearance is not worth all the extra headaches that come along with it.
It drives me insane when I see people driving 2 mph because they're slammed to the ground. I don't want to be one of those people. I want to be the one that flys by them with my 4x4.
FUNCTION > FORM

With that said, I ordered Tein coilovers.

LAST MINUTE CHANGE TO ORDER! DECIDED TO GO WITH TEIN SA RATHER THAN THE BASIS.
Unfortunately I will have to wait a couple weeks for installation but I'm sure it will be worth the wait.

I don't know what made you change your mind but I am happy that you did and purchased the SA instead, you will love it as the adjustable dampening makes all the difference.
I feel that the Basis would have been too soft for your likeness as it is definitely softer than stock.

I knew I still had time to change my mind so I called and emailed Heeltoeauto. Fortunately Marcus was on top of it and the change was easy. He originally told me it would be five days shipping (since he didn't have the SA in stock) so I wouldn't have it in time to install this weekend, but I got the shipping confirmation and UPS estimates the delivery date as Friday. Time will tell!
I ended up changing my mind and getting the SA. The last thing I wanted after saving and waiting for coils is something I'm not happy with. Buying the Basis would've been a gamble that I ultimately didn't want to take.

I can adjust the front with no issues but I have to either jam my arms in to get at the rears or remove my tires. I have bruises all over both arms from jamming them in there since I was over it and didn't feel like taking the tires off.
I'm hoping to get the final adjustments in either tonight or tomorrow night. I found that measuring from the fender to the top lip of the wheel is the easiest and allows for the most accurate measurements.
Why did you choose SS over SA?

Go lower! lol jk that's a good amount of drop. & lol I won't even attempt to adjust it without taking the wheels off and without a buddy. Originally I wanted the SA but then read they're not edfc compatible. Also the shop that did my install had a set of SS in their warehouse & I really wanted them done over the weekend.

Haha, I know right! I slowly warmed up to the idea over the past year or so and finally decided to pull the trigger. I'm going for a very mild drop so hopefully I can still drive it like I stole it at times.

mild drop? hahah i laugh.
trust me, you will go lower and lower.
and once you are at the point where it is 1 finger gap. you will have to drive it like you are tucking tire. fact is, you will need to slow down, doesn't matter if you are 4 inches off the ground, you will still drive it like you are an inch off the ground just so you wont damage anything.

I guess you are right about having to slow down too. Oh well, there will be plenty of turns taken at a higher speed than I would've been able to at OEM height...so that should outweigh the times I need to slow down for dips / bumps.

few things.
Everytime you raise/drop your suspensions, it is IDEAL to get an alignment afterwards.. it changes the geometry of the car everytime it is adjusted.
get camber kit.
if you scrape, it is most likely the sound of that plastic rectangle piece under the front bumper that is scraping, not the actual lip.
learn how to lean your car, how to use up an entire driveway if it is steep. even on small driveways.. gotta learn how to jump the curb once in a while.. but not too much curb, just a tad bit to get you out of there

rock the block
drop looks great bronco! welcome to the low and slow club
in the spirit of potz giving you a hard time, what's next? gonna go get some stretched tires and ditch those fatties you're proud of so you can lower it more?!?! I kid..
don't forget the 45 degree trick for shitty driveways, and watch out for dips

I'm fortunate that 90% of my driving is on roads that I'm familiar with so hopefully that will help since I know where the imperfections in the road are.
