Hey Steven. I took you up on the rebadge. I put "TL" on the left and "SH-AWD" on the right. Looks better and not as busy. I will post new pics once I install my rear roof spoiler. Thanks for the advice.

Buddy, go ahead and throw up some pictures now-I'm anxious to see a 4G with (what I call) a debadge/rebadge.

You can make this thread a progressive thread when your roof spoiler gets installed!

Steven. Here is my version of "rebadging" and also my rear wing spolier. I will need your assistance in doing a progression thread because I have "once again" changed out my stereo components by installing an EQ controller in the center console and have the A-Pillars modified so that the tweeters are now pointed toward the car interior.

All. I have changed the system again and replaced the MS-8 with my old Alpine PXA-H701 and using a JL Cleansweep to flatten the OEM signal. The PXA controller is installed in the center console. Also I never posted pics of the Focal KRX-2 for front and rear speakers. I got tired of the OEM tweeter placement which had the highs firing at each other, so I had custom work done on the A-pillars so that I could redirect the tweeters to fire toward the middle of the car. Below are pics of my current setup. Steven Bell suggested a progression thread but I think I may be done with the system.

why did you decide to ditch the MS8?

I like your a pillars, was that a pricey endeavor?

The MS8 did not allow me to manually change X-over frequencies and slopes, time correction and EQ each individual speaker. I wasn't completely happy with the adjustability, expecially when the car is moving which is where it really matters.

Pillars ran me under $200.

Looks really nice man! Focals are top notch...I bet your setup sounds insane. However, are there any other eq's out there that could fit into that cubby or could u somehow custom mount that one. I know there arent a lot of options for mounting, but that looks a little silly right there IMO. But if you ok with it, thats all that matters

The picture is somewhat misleading. The controller is actually flush mounted. The left/right garnishes were cut to a 3/4 inch depth for the controller. My other option was the sunglass compartment but I needed the adjustment closer. Alpine will release the PXA-H800 and it's controller is slightly smaller. I will post a side view of the flush mount.

I may consider doing a more extensive mounting but it depends on whether I decide to keep the TL. I can easily revert that area back to OEM buy purchasing the left and right pieces that were cut into. For me the sound of the system far outweighs the look of the controller install.

What would you recommend for installing the controller in the same area I chose? My thought is to do a complete fiberglass install and color match it to the area surrounding the OEM stereo controls.

So now with the Alpine unit, I'm guessing you have true 5.1 again, gained manual crossover adjustment, but lost time alignment. Correct? Without time alignment, is the stealth mounted center channel for voice feedback necessary?

Do not have true 5.1 because only front OEM output connected to cleansweep then to Alpine unit. The center channel is connected to the PXA so the stealth center is still needed. Also have full control of x-over, gains, time alignment, etc.

Your TL looks sick. Do you mind asking what type of tint do you have and percentage.

nice headlights! Where did you get them done and did you just only paint the housing in a charcoal/gunmetal color?

So Alpine finally released their new processor (PXA-H800) in the states a few months ago and I just had to have it. While I was at it, I decided to change my sub to a JL 10-7. Also have my shop do a custom install of the processor controller. Best system setup I've had done so far.

Below are a few pics I took for my iPhone. I will post better pics if anyone is interested.

Brew the new controller looks much better than the other one. Looks much more integrated and flows better.

I agree. That was one of the reasons for the change along with the fact that I no longer need to use two products to do what the current processor does.

I wouldn't sell this setup. I would put the TL back to stock and install this equip in my next purchase.

Looks like your enclosure takes up a bit more space than mine. I also opted to mount it on the other side of the trunk to maintain access to the fuel cap release mounted on the driver side of the car.

The install of your new processor is much cleaner than the one it replaces.

It is. I wanted more airspace for a lower sub response. My power management and processor sits behind the passenger side trunk lining so the sub needed to be mounted on the other side. I'm in the DC area so I needed to hide as much of my system as possible.

This TL is so sick son!! I love it. I love the custom box that's exactly what I want for my TL. I looked into the Magic Boxes but they stop at 08 and around my area there are no real nice custom shops that I trust to work on my TL. Any ideas on how to get the custom box? Great looking car!!

My box isn't a prefab. It's much thicker and heavier than the ones that were being sold for 4Gs. If you do a search you should find the members that have prefabs and the should be able to help you out.

anyone that goes around racing in a 4000lb 4dr acura is dumb to begin with. its a luxury.. so riding slow is a given.
