I was thinking of doing it matt black but to me it looks like someone primed the roof and forgot to paint/clear coat it so I went gloss instead as the rest of the car is gloss.

To remove the shar fin you need to:

1. remove the 3rd brake cover(just pops out)
2. remove the white middle piece from the dome light.
3. the bazel of the dome light is held by 2 screws, remove those and remove the bazel.
4. disconnect the power cable from the bazel.
5. Now you can pull the liner down enough to get access to the 17mm(as far as I remember) nut that holds the antenna. Remove the bolt.
6. Lastly don't forget to disconnect the gps cable from the junction under the liner, it's to the left of the nut.

Hope that helps. I should have taken pictures and made a diy. I might do that if I end up redoing my roof.

Thanks for the photo!

If you have any more photos from that time, drop em in the "Ottawa meet" thread so that the Ottawa people can get jealous.

Decided to bring this thread from the dead. Been 3 years since I've last posted something here. I've done some vinyl wrap work on the the car couple of day ago and decided to share it to see if you guys like it or not so much.

So 3 years ago I've wrapped my roof, partial hood and partial grille in gloss black

Got too many stone chips within the 3 year period and I've decide to take all the vinyl off before it gets old and impossible to take off. So when I took everything off I thought of just wrapping the roof, grille and the hood in gloss black again. Started with the hood and the grille

Thought that it would be too plain and decided to add some light blue gloss metallic vinyl.

Then I thought. What the hell. why not add some stripes to the sides and some blue to the door handles and the rims

I've even added a scorpion decal under the blue stripe on the rear quarter panel to give it some uniqueness.

When the wife saw all that she said that there are too many stripes going on and I've since then removed the ones from the fenders so that's how the car is right now

I'm thinking to add the stripes to the little piece on the front lip so it will look like this

I would really appreciate if you guy let me know which look out of all of them you prefer the most. I know it's my car and I can do whatever the f..k I wanna do to it but I like to know that other people around me enjoy the look of my ride also.

I think it looks much cleaner with the factory white paint and paint matched grill. It's too busy for my style. Just my $.02.

This thread update did not go where I was expecting. Best part is the wife putting her foot down.

lol...thanks for all the comments guy. The best thing about vinyl is that you can take it off at any time. I will leave the roof, hood and the grille wrapped for sure. Just was not sure about all the stripes, that's why I asked what you think. .... those flames comments got me thinking thought, maybe I should add some...jk

Haven't been in 4G subsection in a while, now I'm unsure if I should have checked in.
