I just installed the update ATLP resonated for awd last week and i love the sound and look. I had the magnaflow exhaust with my oem tips welded on prior. Im finding cabin noise is less then the magnaflows bit im getting a cleaner deeper tone.

In a dilemma between the new Atlp V2's or the Endless rpm setup. Current setup is the Borla Pro Xs 40357. Satisfied with the slight mod for sound and all but during acceleration felt like it lost its pull during takeoffs. I wasn't trying to look for gains of any type from the slight mod, but didn't expect to lose nothing either, but now doing more research and how I wanna go about this. Just want a nice setup with a lil to no drone & more hp & torque throughout. Wish Endless would have a data sheet on the exhaust setup for the power gains.

I had this same set as well. I did this with the resonator delete.. not sure how you lost power still felt the same to me and the noise level did not raise much. Now if you like the sounds/tone your have with your current set up but want a power gain feel. I would recommend getting the PCD/HFPC and the Ktuner first. Then work your way back. Those exhaust you mention are more for the look and sounds while worth it ain't think your going to see any gains like that.

Installed the ATLP resonated last week. Was really surprised by how quiet it is, at cruising speeds you cant tell you even have an aftermarket exhaust. Almost wish I went non-res but have a feeling the highway drone would get old. I also have a j-pipe. When on the throttle the sound is great and the appearance/craftsmanship is excellent.

Looks good... and you feel it's quiet? Well sounds like it's time to get you some PCD'S .... or HFPC and a J pipe I bet you will be saying different.

It has gotten a bit louder, for a daily driver I would say its perfect. Still no drone on the highway, when I push the gas in 6th gear there is a slight throaty tone but nothing to be annoyed by.

Our resonated XLR8 cat backs are perfect for your daily driver applications too! They are pretty quiet and low on drone, until you give it some gas that is! Then it gives you what you're looking for, the performance exhaust roar everyone loves. They're made from T304 stainless and are manufactured here in the U.S.A with nothing but quality and performance in mind!

Setup looks great either way!

Hi there, new to to AZ. I have a 2011 SHAWD and just recently did the RV6 PCD & J-Pipe plus XLR8 quad exhaust and K-tuner. I have only had my car back for two days and digging the performance but it is so loud it is hard to enjoy. I am hoping that the exhaust just has a break-in period and will drop in tone but OMG is it loud. I have set off car alarms just starting my car. I suspect it will change once some carbon builds up but if anyone has some advice on what to do to decrease the break-in period please let me know. My wife just shakes her head and my 6 year old laughs...until I stick him to the seat. I am not having any luck finding an insert to tone down the exhaust for everyday driving. Looking for some advice from others as it looks like a few of you have my exact setup.

Cheers
Jim

Hey Jim,

First of all, welcome to Acurazine!

The break in period depends on driving habits, but within the first month or so with daily driving chances are you're just about there. I'd say the PCDs are where most of that sound is coming from. While the exhausts with a Jpipe make some decent noise, we haven't heard of them setting off too many car alarms! The PCDs really open the exhaust up, and while they do add decent power, there's usually a fair amount of noise to go with it.

Is the exhaust you have resonated? If not, you could try adding a resonator, or even a Vibrant Ultra Quiet Resonator to the mix and see how that treats you. Unfortunately it's easy to make an exhaust loud, but it's not quite as easy going the other way.

If you have any questions for me, or would like some help trying to get rid of some of that sound feel free to send me a PM!

Hi Jim, welcome to Acurazine.
Unfortunately, breaking in the Exhaust will not help much with the loudness. Your setup, especially if it is non resonated is probably the loudest setup you can have on the car. You can add resonators as XLR8 suggested if it's non resonated, some members have even used Dynamat in the trunk and under the rear seat.

I always suggest people go with HFPC and a J Pipe first, it adds a nice subtle tone without any drone or annoyances.

Hello all,

Just wanted to drop a note that I added the suggested resonators today. My exhaust now sounds absolutely amazing! Craig and team over at XLR8 are top notch. I couldn't be happier, performance and wife approval...best combo.

Cheers

I installed my ATLP resonated cat back and a Xlr8 J pipe today and the sound is excellent. at idle it purrs and at WOT it screams. minimal drone , worst is around 2500 rpm but honestly, even then the AC and radio at volume 6 is louder. I am very please. Hopefully I can post a sound clip somewhat soon.

I will try and record an in cabin video on my way to the airport tomorrow. I agree the resonated atlp is perfect for a daily driver. IMO the way a 305hp car should sound from the factory......

By any chance have any of you heard from HeelToeAutomotive recently? I'm trying to put in an order for the resonated ATLP catback system for my 3.5L FWD. I've tried using their ticketing system, e-mailing their support email address, and requesting a special quote. So far no response on any of these fronts.

Part of me is also a bit concerned if the part is back-ordered (I wouldn't want to be another case of a 2-3 month wait).
