Weapon-R i-throttle

This is the first I've heard of this, it sounds like it's a signal booster like the "Sprint Booster". A few people on here have the sprint booster and it has mixed reviews. I don't think anyone is using this one.

Well I'd say I heard more positive things on here about the people that installed the sprint booster than negative, the biggest complaint was typically the price.
If you need a part number why don't you just email Weapon R?

Word of advise, don't jerryrig a device that controls your throttle if the manufacturers says it doesn't fit your car. That other member that installed one probably hasn't posted because he's dead.

A very smart move on your part I think. I hate that the TL has all that throttle lag. With the Sprint Booster do you find the car is too touchy in stop and go traffic?

Gonna have to pull the trigger soon. Would you recommend it before tuning? @karkraze or no difference?

I had the SB before the K Tuner came out so I opted out of that feature and kept the SB, the one advantage it does offer is the ability to switch on or off the throttle sensitivity in the event of adverse weather conditions. For me personally, I have not found it to be overly sensitive but some people do.

I have no personal experience with this, but when I asked my tuner to remove the throttle lag via KTuner, he told me that in his experience with honda cars, it tended to mess with the stability control, and it should not be done. Just putting the info out there FWIW.

Without throwing anyone under the bus you should have your tuner call me to discuss his findings in case there's more to it than what you've said here. What you stated, though, has not been the case in our experience with altering DBW settings.

If you are going to purchase the K Tuner then no need to buy the SB. The K Tuner allows for DBW tuning which has the same effect as the SB.

I have had the SB for a year now and absolutely love it, switch the thing off and the car feels so sluggish. As James (K Tuner) confirmed and Kenny being willing to do the DBW tuning, you should be equally happy with the results.

Ahha, yes I remember seeing your post now that you mention it. Kenny @ TurboGixxer tuned my car and he mentioned the DBW tuning to me, he also mentioned that he does not foresee any conflicts from running the SB in tandem with the K Tuner.

The process is time consuming. I had 28 revisions to the base map and will have a few more this Summer when I bring the car out.
It depends on how often you do a log and send it to the tuner and how quickly he will return an update to you. If I had access to a local tuner I would have opted to do a dyno tune, everything can be tweaked on the fly. Also, I felt comfortable letting Kenny work on the car seeing he is familiar with the K Tuner and our platform.
