Sprint booster

Sorry for starting a new thread about the sprint booster .. I have a '10 tech AT, I read a lot of good reviews and haven't really seen much bad reviews .. Has anyone else got it and still have it ? My car feels sluggish and came across the sprint booster and someone saying that it will help the sluggish feeling I get when just driving around town and the pedal will feel more responsive, I'm not trying to gain power I just want the sluggish feeling when I'm driving around to be gone.

Thanks,

You will get better throttle response from the sprint booster and the install takes minutes. There are good reviews on this item and I have yet to hear of a bad one. We have them in stock ready to ship.

Check page 20 , post # 761 for my detailed review of the Sprint Booster.

Keep in in mind that I did this before the K tuner was available. If you plan on doing future bolt on mods I would suggest the K Tuner. It allows for DBW tuning which will give you the same effect, plus several other options to tune your car.

No, not really. The more bolt on mods the better the case for the K Tuner. You don't really need anything else, purchase the K Tuner load up one of the base tunes that comes preloaded on the unit. Later on when you have accumulated all the mods you want then go get it dyno tuned. If you go through my thread you will
find plenty of info there. There is also a thread on the K Tuner with many posts in it, let me know if you have anymore questions.

Before anyone comments on me being stupid for asking this question I am not a car guy at all but I love to do mods .. anyways what else would you recommend for bolt on, i'm in the process of getting a high flow cat whatever .. But I read from the other thread of a member having a p2r intake manifold ? is it intake manifold spacer? where could I lookup that part .. should I just like PM you instead of asking you in this thread lol

PM or on the Forum, either is fine. For bolt on mods, I would do High Flow Cats (HFPC) or Pre Cat Delete (PCD) , J Pipe, Exhaust and K Tuner. I can tell you that the XLR8 Exhaust coupled with the PCD's is loud, that being subjective depending on an individual tolerance for noise. You don't really need anything else, most of the other parts will result in minimal gains, of course you can purchase Lightweight Pulleys, thermal spacers, manifold spacer, get a bored out throttle body, Short Ram Intake and even use the RDX injectors (better spray pattern and higher volume) but only you can decide if it is worth it or not.

I would suggest that beyond the four Mods I mentioned, your money would be better spent on a set of lightweight rims and some Pilot Super Sport tires ( sticky and light compared to other ultra high performance tires) and stay away from the current aftermarket intake unless you like the sound of it. The stock intake is very good as is, you can if you wish, purchase intake piping from Airaid and convert your stock intake to something similar to the Icebox ( a cold air intake that is no longer available). You will need to remove the stock tubing from below the filter housing, this will remove all the restriction from the factory system and then route the custom kit similar to the setup of Icebox. It ends at the left side of the car between the wheel well and front bumper, this is something that is very doable and if I did not have the Icebox then I would definitely do it. You could say that I am a bit handy . Below is the kit I mentioned, you will have to check the available sizes.
AIRAID U-Build-It (UBI) Custom Air Intake Systems

The end of the intake tubing on the Icebox has an air horn ( strange name lol ) that aids with the flow of air entering the intake and those are available from E Bay. Just type in intake air horn or velocity stack adapter and get the right size you need.

Amazon Amazon

This is my 3rd one on my 3rd vehicle and it is amazing! They have one left at half price. When I bought mine from them a couple weeks ago it was 2/3rds price.

damn, I just got mine in on Monday but I paid full price. For this price, it’s a no brainer. I think it’s worth it!

luckly mine was the right one. I searched amazon by the part number. That sucks they sent you the wrong one.

One thing I like a lot about it is I can spend most of the time in “D” mode and get more responsiveness and better gas mileage compared to spending most of the time in sport mode. The 3.7 can be a gas hog if kept unchecked. the 4G TL is super easy to plug in too. My last car 2018 TLX was so cramped to try and plug it in.
