I think it is well worth the money.
Get tensioner pulley, alternator pulley, cat deletes, bore out the TB, remove those spacers, and instead get things port matched; those spacers create turbulence.

HFC VS J-pipe what would be the best first mod to pair with the Ktuner. And I thought they was a J-pipe Dyno reading on here.. can't find it now. And just realize Ktuner don't work with MAC? And is there a base map listing or any new maps available?

The downloads page says Windows only.
The same basemaps we released are still built-in to the software covering all bolt-ons except for intakes. You will probably need adjustments if you get an intake. From manufacturer to manufacturer they're off by quite a bit.

From what I'm reading ain't sound like to much can be done intake wise even with a direct tune. Guess that K&N drop in filter will have to do.... Has there been a dyno done yet with intake and full exhaust done yet? I swore I saw on here the J-pipe dyno but can't find it now.

I'm seeing 253whp with the HFC and Ktune..

250WHP without the tune but the J-pipe saying +10 +8 in this graph

but in this graph says +16 +10 with out the tune and HFC

And when all said and done it's 254WHP

So I'm a tad bit confuse. Why am I reading "the most bang for your buck" is the J-pipe? And why in the dyno graph 2 different numbers shown for the J-pipe... From what I'm seeing the most bang for your buck is K-tuner and the HFC. Add a J-pipe and your overall power goes up by 1hp. Am I reading wrong here or miss something?

I'm not going to disclose my dyno numbers since there are too many variables to consider but I've gained significantly more hp than those numbers above with a catback, jpipe and drop in k&n air filter. Guess my point is, not all dynos will read exactly the same.

I know a few months ago some folks got in there feelings about the whole tuning and numbers and people not wanting to post. I'll be honest ain't really need a breakdown of numbers but I myself are curious as to the final numbers some of the fellow members have put up. Yes I don't care for gains per say but I don't mind taking alternative routes. Example on the honda accord forum some guys keep the stock J-pipe install the PCD and the borla exhaust system and get close to 29WHP. Along with a few other step ups. I know most guys are doing the E-TUning and Dyno's do vary but I'll hope some guys are willing to share what they got as I plan to do the same. This seems to be the only place so far where no one really shares what they got..

There may some day be a Mac version, but it's a ways out.

Several people have been tuned with an intake and have had good results. The basemaps do not cover an intake because the intakes for these vehicles generally throw fueling off and vary from intake to intake.

Any dealer have the Ktuner for a discounted price. Wife wants to order it for my bday today. I know I missed the Black Friday deal at $474. Any money saved is a bonus.

Excited to get my parts put in and tuned. Still debating on Dyno vs Street Tune. Would love to see some numbers.

No I have cat deletes waiting to go in. We'll see how much I like it with my V3 jpipe, ATLP exhaust and CT icebox. Still debating the crank pulley. Mine is auto though. Not as fun but I'm sure it's an improvement which I'll be happy with.

If not, I'll pull out the deletes and just get the hfpc.

Where you going to get tune at? And what mods you have?

Can anyone explain how many base maps the KTuner end user kit comes with? Are there several base maps to choose from depending on what degree of mods you have?

I live in North Carolina and do not know of any reputable tuners - may have to resort to the e tuning unless someone can recommend someone. That being said, can I expect decent gains using the base maps alone until I get it tuned? Any detrimental effects running it like this until it's fully tuned?

I have XLR8 jpipe, K&N intake, magnaflow mufflers, and both resonator deletes. Not too many mods so I'm hoping I still see good gains and hope it's worth the costs. Anyone have any opinions?

Thanks. Excited to see the outcome. I'm on the fence between dyno tune or street tune. Not doing etune since I have a Mac and not using Windows. My old laptop with Windows is too slow...

And I'm still confuse about those numbers with the HFC and Ktune 253WHP vs HFC, J-PIPE, and Ktune at 254whp.

I seen the same numbers on the Accord forum as well. PCD and stock J-Pipe did big gains. And the numbers here with the HFC saying the same to me.

Carbon I think you're going to hate the exhaust combo you plan on running. Be prepared for very loud and lots of drone. Do you daily the 4G?

Nope. I only average 4000 miles a year. Really only driven during spring and summer. We'll see how it turns out. Worst case I swap to hfpc. I like how it is currently though.

Couple questions. Any downside to running the included tunes when running and aftermarket intake even though it's not included in the tune?

Also are the pretunes manufacture based or just generic? I know piping size varies on jpipes and exhausts.

Just curious even though I'm gonna custom tune.

We've found aftermarket intakes throw off fueling. You'd be best to get it at least checked by a tuner.

The tune was left on the conservative side and will adjust itself based on feedback from the system, so it's universal. Having a custom tune for your specific mods will yield the best results.

I know this was probably answered already but it's pretty hard to search threw this entire thread so my question is once I open up the Ktuner product do I just plug it into the ECU or do I have to first plug it into the computer and do some other steps before connecting it to the vehicle? If so I'm assuming the instructions come with the product but any help is appreciated. Thank you and Merry Christmas to everyone!

The PC software is required to flash the vehicle. The tutorial videos in the help section show you the process.

Good luck carbon! A couple questions for Ktuner or anymore who can answer them...

1) I may have put the wrong user name and password into the Ktuner program when asked to sign in to my account, is this important to make sure that this is correct?

2) first off when I plug the Ktuner in, it does not flash colors like it does in the tutorial video and secondly when my ECU finishes reflashing and I'm supposed to shut the car and turn the key to off and then put it back to accessory, the check engine, vsa, etc. lights stay on and the retry/disconnect option don't put up back on my computer, is this supposed to be happening?

3) when the ECU is finishing reflashing and I set the key to off, the remove key light comes up and this didn't happen in the tutorial video so I just want to make sure this is okay

4) lastly do I need to keep the Ktuner plugged in once the reflashing is completed or can I remove it?

To answer your last question you disconnect it. You don't need to leave it in.

Okay so every time I complete the reflash process and turn the key to off and then back on the engine and vsa lights stay on and the retry/disconnect button does not pop up back on the screen. Also when I turn the key to off the relay does not kick off (at least I don't here it). Any advice on if I'm doing something wrong?
