Sure ours are governed at 130? I could have sworn I've taken mine up to 135-137 before. FWD as well. Long straight roads.

Fsttyms1 has one 2G TL that is super-heavily modified from the ground up.

See his build thread in the 2G TL forum..

No disrespect to Fstty, but that thread is unreadable, the 1st 6 or 8 pages are people guessing what the OP is doing. I'm surprised I skimmed through that much.

You need to go thru it from the end. It got way to cluttered in the middle lol

Thanks bro, I really want to build up my 3.7.

Edit: ugh it seems like you used all OEM parts? Where did you see the performance gains? From tuning, lighter flywheel and?

So far there is no tuning. Im in the process of putting together the parts to run the 07-08 TL-S ecu so i can run Hondata to tune it.

As for where did i see the performance gain? Everywhere, due to the increased displacement and higher compression, especially once vtec activates. Torque. Especially Down low. Gobs of it. (especially compared to the 3.2). I can pass cars on the hwy in 6th in the same amount of time that it used to take in 4th. The light weight flywheel really helps. Rpm drop is instantaneous. I may redo it this summer with a lightened 3.7 crank to take off more rotating mass.

Other than switching from 6AT to 6MT any suggestions for us 4G'ers? Mines a 12', I'm not ripping out the seats :P

Edit: You're running beyond stock 3.7 compression which is like 11:2 (I think)?

Unfortunately no. The 3.7 is pretty worked over from the factory. This side of custom cams and reworking internals i dont see much to be done. About all you can do thats easy is port match the lower runners to the IM.

Im running close to 11.5 which is 1 point higher than the 3.2. 10.5:1, polished the combustion chamber in the head too.

Why is it when I look online, every site says ILX limited at 130, 4G TL at 150?

I still laugh at this thread and at HOW MANY people took the OP serious.
