I am guessing that there has been no love shown for the fitment on the '12?

How about this, I send you a set of mufflers, you toss them on your car and let us know. The rest of the piping is the same. The only question is how the fitment is at the bumper.

I can't help but wonder why the parts guy at Acura told me that I cannot install the pipes from an '09-'11 on my '12? He siad the parts have changed a lot for this model. I tried to buy the quad tips.

Is this install something I can do in my garage on ramps or do I need a lift? I am sure a lift would be ideal.

:/

You will need to get the car off the ground and drop the stock exhaust. Then you'll need to hang the new mufflers and see how they sit.

No it's not atlp, it's the CT-E axle back exhaust. That 2012 TL is sponsored by CT-E. It's also supercharged.

I mean no disrespect here but I don't want to be the guinea pig here to see if the set fits or not, nor should I have to be. It's a big expense to pay the roughly $1100 + shipping then pay a shop for thier time to install and if they don't fit.. the PITA it would be to return, refund..etc.

I'd love to have the exhaust but I want to know ahead of time that the parts will fit, not hope that they will.

Cons5179 posted that he pre-ordered the ATLP exhaust and he has a '12 AWD TL. So your best bet is to wait to see if he can confirm fitment when he recieves the exhaust and go from there.

I should hit him up. I have mufflers I can try on the car. For some reason I thought he had an earlier one.

Still very interested in this - just looking for a brief write up on the dyno run. Confirming fitment on the 2012 is also of interest.

The dyno shows a solid 5-6 ft lb and 5-6 gain from 2000 rpm all the way to redline. It's like the whole graph is shifted up.

The reason I am taking a while with it and can't just upload am image is because the numbers are going to be lower than you guys are expecting. The car was run on a Mustang dyno so it is not going to show the 240 whp or so the car is making, it shows quite a bit less than that. But the gain is for real, as solid as can be.

BTW we submitted to production yesterday so these are going to ship in about 6 weeks we are estimating.

Thanks for sharing. I'm particularly looking for this for a visual enhancement to the rear end on my 2012. I simply think the 2012's exhaust tips are too plain. Having said that, the performance increase is a bonus coming with the price tag. When fitment on the 2012 AWD is confirmed, I'll buy one up!

These are in production now, and we are seriously hoping to have them shipping by X-mas. All is in the producers hands now.

Yes the first system is done and before they make more we are doing some test fits to make sure the tooling is all perfect As soon as I get the fit done we will be full steam on production. I am getting that first system picked up next week (did not have time this week but it IS done).

Any 2012s out there yet?

i have a 2012 and want to get an exhaust....your gonna have to come in at a price near excelerate though.

I can be a test subject if the price is right.

Different systems sell for different prices. Side by side I think you'd see some differences that might make theirs more attractive than ours, but NOTHING can beat the ATLP sound and the tips are simply stunning. Plus ATLP has flanges where the XLR8 is slip fit at the joints (no real functional difference but flanges are nicer)..I dunno, hard for me to compare the two. If it is all about price for you then you might get the less expensive one. But you will be getting a little less of an exhaust IMO.

You are in Canada anyway. I need a car in socal.

We probably ended up doing a 6 run pull on this because it wouldn't register a couple of times and the car would just either shutoff or cutoff early. But in the end, we got it done.

This is the baseline run, Marcus is tasking me to contact Scott the FAB guy to set up for the actual construction of this, I will contact him this Monday first thing and hope I can bring it in this week.

Once the prototype has been made, it will be on the car for sound check and ECU realigning, then go back to the dyno. If nothing needs to be changed, we will go into production and get things going.

Bringing this from the dead.. Guess thats what researching tends to do. So I'm seeing numbers here saying 285WHP minus 15hp due to the wheels being off. Now I thought the Dynapack readings are pretty accurate? Maybe I was wrong somewhere? And this reading that was available of 285whp is this a stock car with the ATLP exhaust only? Saw theses clips on youtube as well:

I'm more familiar with the Dynojet and always was told you get higher number with that compare to the mustang dyno. Now all this comes up because I'm looking for a AWD dyno but mostly seeing Mustang dyno in a 6hr radius but I'm wondering more or less whats the better dyno to use.. Dynopack or the Mustang... And if anyone knows if this car was all stock to get the 285WHP.

That's my car and it was pretty much stock minus a K&N drop in filter. The exhaust was NON-RES.

I have since added an RV6 J-Pipe and going to get PCDs or HFPCDs.

I know its been a while but the actual dyno number you may have put up I can't see its not loading for some reason but i saw in the other comments something to the nature of 285whp is this accurate? "I know you said minus the 10-15whp because of no tires but is that number pretty accurate?

Honestly, I don't think its that accurate. I've modded many cars from non-turbo to turbo and I/H/E cars, I could tell the difference in power with those, but with this car, not so much.

I want to say that it has only yielded maybe 5+ whp and that's about it. As you may have noticed that the AWD cars has a pretty un-restrictive CB, so you can't do a whole lot in improvements, but for this exhaust system we got decent numbers.

I've seen some other dynos saying that the AWD has 221WHP but at the same time it is hard to really calculate the actual numbers because of the sophisticated SHAWD system.

But when I did add the J-Pipe, I could tell a more power was set loose to the wheels.

Anyone with a TL SH/AWD with an ATLP exhaust that is near Atlanta, GA? Would like to see the system and listen to the exhaust sound. Thanks.
