I'm wondering if 3rd cat delete will make the exhuast sound more raspy/louder like xlr8? I have a 2013 fwd. Will it cause check engine light? If not, which test pipe should i get?

3rd Cat is not monitored and will not cause a CEL if deleted. I have the RV 6 J Pipe which deletes the third cat and there is no need to purchase a separate test pipe as with some other J Pipes, been running it for several years without any issues and RV 6 (Richie) has a solid reputation for quality products.

It will enhance the tone of the stock exhaust but nothing near the sound of an XLR8 Catback. Also you will not get any rasp or drone from the third Cat delete.
