Got it installed from an installer, and aside from few hiccups during the install it is working great. Even though the Orange wire was pre-wired, he had to cut it to make it work. He ended up chatting with online support and they were able to assist - so props for their support! The directions could be better, though.

I also put in a Micca media player and a portable hard drive in the center console for video during lunch breaks as well as photo slideshows in place of the static Acura wallpaper. Works great!

Can you tell me please, how much did the installer charge approximately?
Thanks.

It was a mix - I got the NavTool, a remote wire and dash cam all installed for $100.

Acura TL 2006 accessory wire in the trunk. Navtool 3.0
I tapped a red and yellow wire going in the middle back of the DVD player as my accessory power. I read this in another forum and was skeptical But it worked fine. So far the backup camera is working fine, I haven't worked out the mirroring connection yet. Just in case any1 else is having trouble finding an accessory wire in the trunk.

Similarly with the Audio Output there is no need to connect right?

How about the small 2.5mm jack? Does it need to be connected? Is this what is being used for audio from the source or will the audio go via HDMI?
2.5mm output needs to be connected to your stereo because Navtool will send video only to your navscreen. If you have an Aux audio jack you can connect it to directly to your phone. I don't have one but my car has a cassette player so i used a cassette adapter and plugged it to the headphone jack on my phone. Make sure to select tape on your radio. It worked!

Which version of the navtool is it? Will it work on the 2006 TSX?

About backup camera🤔

So if you install the navtool 3.0 to the car
it will lose the factory backup camera?
or everything just stay the same🤔

Everything is exactly the same. You have to switch "inputs" into the navtool. Otherwise unless you switch it's like you didn't have any other mod.

If you do reverse when the navtool is switch, it'll auto switch to the reverse camera. You loose the lines, but that's only if you have the navtool input active. Otherwise if you're on the normal nav screens reverse camera works perfectly.
