WWDC, Apple, future cars and nav
Well, I was joking online somewhere about how all the auto manufacturers should just pack it in and create systems that will allow you to link to Apple for your nav, and.....
..... it's here. Or will be, in a year or so. Honda, Toyota and other big manufacturers are already committed to it.
Think Siri+iPad as your complete Nav/Audio system in your car. I don't know how the implementation will go, but if it were me, I'd just want a slot to drop my iPad in somewhere, have it link up directly to the display panel solidly and very visibly located in the car, and done. Use the iPad as the data interface, replicate it in an in-car built-in screen. The Future.

I am just hoping that there will be some software upgrade so I can just push a button and use Siri in my TL. That sounded like some of the integration that was going to take place.

It will be called Eyes Free and part of iOS6: http://www.apple.com/ios/ios6/siri/
Hopefully there is a chance for backwards compatibility with those of us who bought the 2012 TL...(doubt it)
