If they are the same color as my 07 TL AT, then I may be able to help.

First off, I called my dealer and the service rep told me that they don't have an official touch-up paint for the wheels. Not even a manufacturing number for the paint.

So, I went to Autozone and through trial (and error), I found a very close match. NOT exact, but close.

Dupli-color Scratch Fix 2in1 – small canister
Starlight Sliver (made for Hondas)
Number: HA 00974

I also purchased the same brand but in Clear Coat to seal things up nice.

Here are pics of my before, during, and after DIY wheel fix. I used putty, different grades of sandpaper, primer, paint, and clear coat. Credit goes to an article online from a fellow named NASAracer. From 3 feet away, you can’t tell I ever messed up my wheel.

During ->

After ->

Thanks al.c, I am anxious to get the color details. I live in Metro Atlanta area....... will get my profile updated to reflect. I bet it is nice in San Francisco these days!

Just for clarification. We are talking about a 2007 or 2008 TL type S wheel.... Like that shown in my profile picture. I see that some are posting colors based on older and different color wheels.

Tried that color. Way too dark:

Views: 1197
Size: 161.3 KB Just tried a little as you can see and noticed how dark it was. Probably works well for the reproduction Type S waffle wheels, but not the factory ones.

Anyone know the correct color to get? As you can see mine are scratched up bad from the previous owner.

The Antracite Metallic color should match it pretty close. I bought a touchup pen from Acura and it matched mines pretty close. Because its not blended in, it is noticeable up close. But i rather have slightly mismatched paint than curb rash marks, just my opinion lol.

Just wondering if you ever got a color that worked? I think the Antracite looks way too dark as well, but the Kaiser silver looks kinda light? I haven’t been able to find out online what the other recommended color, GM 396, looks like….

I don't think our responded to the other guy but I have OEM wheels, Not reproduction. What I ended up doing was getting my OEM wheels completely refurbished and powdercoated. They used Kingsport Gray. They came out amazing. Slightly darker than OEM with sparkle.
