Ideally now is the time to buy new wheels since you're due for new tires. I promise you though, those XXR's won't look good on factory suspension.

+1, any aftermarket wheels look like dookie without a drop.

Tein S-Techs would do, at the least.

Sorry to sound like a noob but according to Tein these will drop a minimum of 1.1 to 2.9 inch (Front) and 1.0 to 2.6 inch (Rear). Does it mean 1.1 on the highest setting?

Anyone got pics on this setting on stockies?

In need of new struts and figured might as well get on the bandwagon of coilover setups, hoping they are good for daily driving and longevity. I'm currently at 73K and got one leaky shock and car feels not brand new anymore.

That's correct, 1.1" means that is their highest setting, but it sits 1.1" lower than OEM.

I daily my car, and I'm sure 06TL does as well, you should be happy with them, Teins ride very nicely.

^ ^ ^

Varrstoen 2.2.1's in 18x9.5 +22 all around Wrapped in 225/40/18

(coming from his Youtube vidz)

Double check your wheel specs if +22 will clear brembo calipers, I'm sure it was confirmed somewhere on the threads.

The rears camber a lot more than the front. I'm almost maxed on my fronts and have not needed a camber kit (-1.5 and -2.0) my rears needed a camber kit after about a 2" drop.

It depends on wheels and such as well as how much camber you're comfortable running. Before I was even close to slamming my rear my camber was at -2.8, at that point I went and got the Ingalls rear camber kit.

Thanks for your input. As for now, I'm not looking to slam my car, I was thinking of leaving a pinky gap in between fender and tires. Also I will be running with my stickies, no plan for aftermarket rims. I might throw in some spacers in the future.

That's just my ideal setting. My stock suspensions are somewhat higher than other TLs out there. I guess i will just max it out to 2" drop. haha

Is 2" drop going to be like 2 fingers gap?

wheel spacers are used to give you flush look without having to buy new rims. or in some cases to clear brembos

Chokin, 2" drop should be less than a 2 finger gap, maybe a 1 finger gap, but small.

Zach, I'm not sure if he means those spacers since we're talking coils...if not, Recon, care to clarify?

According to what you said, i think 2" drop would work well for me. I am from MN, snow and potholes make me not want to go too low.

I hear ya, I have it pretty well in FL. Only real worries are hurricane flooding (no way my car can make it out of the driveway) and a lot of entrances to places are build up and some are quite steep, scrape city

2" is a great height to start with

That's the beauty of coils though, if it's too low, raise it up (although it's not recommended ) and if it's too high, lower it!

Only 7 more days until I can order these bad boys! Cannot wait. By the way, I was going to order them through eBay to save a few bucks, but since this site is my new bible I would rather order them through you.

Hope to see pictures from the rest of you guys after you install them.
