Here's mine - 245/40 Achille ATR Sports on 18x10 +25 Varrstoen MK2 - square set up...i've thought about going wider on tires - but don't really want to raise it, i like my height right now

So if I wanted to keep the look nice & tight and avoid any potential rubbing.... would that mean I'd need a 255/35/18 or will the Federal in 265 still work? I'm just wondering what size you would recommend if I go with Federal.

18 x 9.5 +45 is perfect for a 265/35
I thought that as well, but comparing the 265 to my skinny 265, they're only .1" wider, which is nothing. On a +45 they're just what the doctor ordered. If Federal is giving the true specs on their tires.

I'm running BF Goodrich G-Force Sport Comp-2's right now and they're excellent.

The Federal looks like a nicer tire IMO, but it's junk, they are throw-away tires in the drift world. Your choice.

Well I'm not doing any drifting, but I'm assuming when you say they're junk - you mean the tire doesn't grip/perform as well as it should? Is it the tire composition or is it the tread pattern that you feel makes it a bad choice?

It's just a sexy tire, so as long as I've got quality traction in dry conditions @ high speeds.... then this is what I'll probably end up getting.
I'll do more research on it. Thanks again boss.

my first thought is that it won't clear due to the high offset. however those look like pretty flat spokes so it may fit since it's a 9.5 wide wheel. i can't give you a for sure yes or no, you'd have to contact the company or test fit them somewhere. sorry i can't be more helpful....anything above offset +30 is pretty questionable and relies very heavy on the back design of the wheel.

Hey, do you think I can run 265/35 18s on stock suspension w/o any folding/rolling fenders? I have varrstoen es2, 18X9.5 +22 front and 18X10.5 +22 in rears.
I dont know which tire set up I should go with. I would love to do 265's front and 275s rear, or 255s front and 265s rear. But i will like to throw something on w/o any modifications until I lower car.
Also I have a pair of 12 inch subs in rear with couple amps and battery so i prolly have about 100lbs at all time in trunk. This will not be a daily driver and I do not plan on cramming ppl in the back seats.
Any help is greatly appreciated, thanks

This. But please forgive me, my expectations are high, I'm a real tire whore.

Yes Rolled and pulled, fronts are shaved as well, I removed bumper tab screw btw and have zip tie holding in place sounds ghetto but it's working. I'm rubbing a tad bit in the rear on big dips, might need to camber in more but same time I don't want to haha.
I had 255/35's before no issue but wasn't beefy enough. Actually wanted to go with 245/40's but my buddy that works at a tire shop didn't have them.

I like my 245/40's so far, in the same place, rolled flat/slightly pulled, tabs are shaved (i still have the screw though, thinking about getting a quick disconnect on it). I rub in the fronts only on dips, haven't had any rubbing issues with the rears yet. i've thought about raising it some to get some 255's on there, but then again. i like my height, and the peace of mind from the 40 series sidewall

So I have a Nighthawk Black Pearl 2008 TL and I kind of wanted black rims (possibly red trim or red line tires), so I was wondering what y'all recommend. I want slightly bigger tires and rims than my stock 235/45/17. I was thinking maybe 18" or 19" rims, maybe 255?

285/35/18 square on 18x9.5 +27 rear, +24 front. NT03+M.
Lowered on Tein S-Techs with natural camber. One side has shaved fenders.
Does not rub at all.... unless I take hit a dip or take a turn going a little fast. Also this means I can't have passengers in the car... or load up anything over 180lbs (I tested it).
Only two photos I have... which are pretty terrible. But I shot them quickly to help out Andy with his wheel set up.
The next set-up-to-be.

It's hard to suggest you rims and tires when there's just so much to choose from. It all depends on what you like and what you're looking for--as well as what your current suspension set up allows.

Unfortunately I'm no longer on those 285/35s. Had to replace them as they were done by the time winter came around.
I really miss the beefy ass set-up though. It was a pain if I ever had to drive someone though lol. It would be fine (no rubbing) if the road was completely smooth/flat. But hit a small divet in the road and it'll rub.

Damn near perfect. But I'll say that you'll need probably -2° rear, and -2.2° front to run that comfortably on any 265. I'm at +40 and wearing a skinny 265, so I get away with -1.5° F&R and rub just a bit here and there, even rolled.

It's a thought, but I want a nice set of Work Wheels.
Thanks. Honestly, I think that I will still eventually go to a wider set up. Probably because the wheels that I want are 18x9.5 with a +38 offset. I don't mind running a -2 in the rear. With my old car I ran a -2 F&R and it didn't bother me. The front fenders I don't mind rolling. The rears I will make it work somehow with alignment. Do you have a camber kit on your car, and which one are you running?
My old car with -2 all the way around.
