Anyone on Tein Street Flex? How are they vs. Street Advance?

I've been doing some research on the differences between the Street Advance vs. the Street Flex.

Does anyone know how they compare in ride comfort? They both share the same spring rates. I wonder if the full soft setting is the same on both shocks.

So far I've found that the Street Flex has a fully-threaded body. Does this mean that I can have full suspension travel while lowered? That if I hit a bump, it will be less likely to hit the bump stop on the Street Flex vs. the Street Advance?

I also found that the Street Flex has pillowball upper mounts. What does that mean for TLs? If the stock top hats aren't used, does this mean less comfort?

From the specs I can see that the Street Flex allows a slightly lower drop.

I found some of that info from this post.

fully threaded body coilovers allow height adjustment without affecting the spring preload which I think is good.

I think pillowball mounts are good

As stated above the Flex make it so you preload the spring and lock it. Then all adjustments for the height are done by the bottom mount. Which is a lot better. It makes a consistent ride quality at all heights. Almost. How low you go messes with geometry of other suspension parts. That will change the ride too.

Top mounts are just aluminum tophats/mounts. They won't change the ride. Being Tein they make great quality bushings and hardware. The cheap coilovers from china you might have tophat/mounts issues.

I personally am buying the Flex because I want to install the EDFC and change dampening while in the car.

You don't need the flex to run edfc
