Two Unusual Sounds
Ahoy fellow 3Gers,
My 65,000km 2008 5AT has developed a couple unusual sounds:
1. When shifting from Park to Reverse, there is a pronounced mechanical "chunk" sound. The tranny otherwise works perfectly, and the AT fluid is in good shape.
2. At city speeds, there is an odd creaking coming from the area of the rear passenger door or roofline. There's no insecure cargo or anything, and the door itself opens and closes as smoothly as when it left the factory. The sound disappears at highway speeds.
Any ideas? Thanks in advance!

#2 I am sure this has been covered but this stuff is like crack for your weather stripping.
Amazon.com: Honda Genuine Shin-Etsu Grease: Automotive
Get it. Use it. Love it.

The car has low miles but, of course, that doesn't apply to weather stripping.
Any special instructions with this, or just lather it on? Will one tube suffice?
