Thanks for inquiring, unfortunately we don't have anything available for your TL since it is a type-s, I wish I could help. I might suggest seeking a local automotive upholstery shop to see if they can assist you.

I wanted to give you guys some of my feedback since I might be the 1st member here to buy a full leather seat replacement and do the install myself.
My wife got me the 100% full leather kit for my 2004 TL, yes 2004 TL.
They do make the kit for the 04-08 base and type-s models.
The quality is amazing, but I can only speak for the 100% full leather kit.
The installation is a huge PITA.. and I have experience in this.
I have detailed photos and the DIY process posted on my build thread. You're more than welcomed to view the photos and ask me any questions.

ya those hog rings have to be placed and clamped down just right or there could be pulls in the fabric.. causing it to not lay down properly. It takes time to do it right. even then you may have to redo certain sections. The TL has hog rings up the cushion and it you got to get it just right. I took off 1 corner of a seat cushion once and it never did lay back down exactly as good as before but its passable.. You definitely need to have hog ring pliers.

I orignally planned on redoing the seats with hog rings, but due to how thick the new skin covers are, I decided to use heavy duty zip ties. I cut ------- approximately that much on each slot for the zip tie to slide through. It's enough to give you some wiggle room to pull the leather and have a tighter fit. Leatherseats.com suggest you use a heat gun and other things to fit the kit 100%. I didn't use a heat gun, I did my very best with help from the wife, to make the kit fit as best as possible. If the kit was a thin as the OEM stuff, I would have used hog rings. The other issue is, some spots are very difficult to secure the hog ring to the cushion. Keep in mind, the OEM kit has metal bars that are used to secure the skin to the cushion, not with these. They are hard plastic strips instead.

For the most part, the process is the same for almost every vehicle.

I agree, I contacted them a year ago, and they confirmed they do not offer replacements for the Type S.
Nice work tho, it is a time consuming process, but it's worth the effort, I will be replacing mine soon.

a bit disappointed in leatherseats
Based on this thread i purchased a passenger seat bottom cushion cover from leatherseats because that is all i needed. I expected it to somewhat match but am surprised at how off it looks. Not like the same thing only newer, but it looks like charcoal colored vinyl. I even sniffed at it thinking it could not possibly be leather. Seems quite thin also. It is sitting in a closet now and i have sourced a used cover for only the perf section and am paying a local upholstery shop to graft the panel in. I'm hoping to get another year or two out of it before redoing the entire cabin. But based on this sample, I would be inclined to use another vendor, perhaps Auto Custom Leathers. I guess i will resume research when that time finally comes.
Sorry to be so negative on myfirst second post. and because i am inept, i accidentally posted this same thing to 04WDPSeDaN's timeline.
But I have gotten some good info here. Been lurking for a month while buying s-type coilover units, sway bar endlinks, half shafts, leather conditioner...
