Hey all,

I need some info on the repair of an 08 TL Rear Bumper. I walk back to my TL last night and find a small 1" hole/crack(not deep) made by a licence plate bolt. All the body shops want 350-500 to remove the bumper and repair from the inside. Does anyone know any kind of material to use externally that will work well with minimum skills. All responses much appreciated.

Take it to a professional bumper repair shop.. It should be cheap to fix.. I took my buddy to a local bumper specialist.. some douche rammed the bumper on his van with their tow hook.. huge gash.. cost $200 to fix & paint.. plus touch up the body.. Looked brand new.

What is a professional bumper shop? I've been to local body shops that have quoted me upwards of $450 to remove it, fill it, and paint the whole bumper. It seems very high for an indent less than 1/4".

Where are you located?.. There are two in my area but I only give referrals to the shop I have experience with. Rather than a body shop, a bumper shop specializes in bumpers & touch ups only.

I'm in CT and did a search for bumper specialist, nothing?????

I tried google'n a shop and didn't find any in CT, maybe PM one of the CT members.. there's a larger number of CT members and tri-state members.. Otherwise ask the shop how much it would cost if you took it off yourself..
