Warning: For anyone afraid to roll your fenders
DO NOT BE...
This thread is NOT for:
On my second iteration, I've decided to dial it back a bit and keep the car more driveable and less modified.
Well, tonight it bit me in the arshole. I bought the car with the rear fenders rolled...put my wheels on...decided to tinker with upper camber arms rather than spacers...tried out spacers, rubbed...removed. Easy peasy...rears only go up and down, they don't turn. Well...the FRONT, I did not touch. Not like on my NBP, which I had rolled and pulled and cut the front transition and laid flat. No, on my KBP, I figured I was keeping it pussy enough specs to keep it stock and not roll. I occasionally heard a rub here and there, and saw a little paint missing form a fender, but I didn't heed the warning. Well, tonight, that bit me in the ass.
I am only starting this thread for those that are on the fence between OEM plus, OEM, no roll, tampons, not wanting to roll, being cheap, being scared...etc.
My warning to you is...if you are close.
DO NOT LET YOUR TIRES ROLL YOUR FENDERS FOR YOU!!!!!!!!!
So I waited, and decided to leave well enough alone. Well, today, I was driving home from a baptism with the wife and my fat baby...which added weight...went to a gas station in Miami that had a dip down and dip up driveway...I thought I heard something...and as my wife made fun of my 2 princess cars that need to be babied...my front driver tire caught the fucking fender and pulled it down...and flared it. End of the world...no. Feel like a fuckin moron for KNOWING better and not having rolled it preemptively...yes. SO after yelling at her to place the blame...I took a look and I had pulled the inner fender down badly with the tire...to get home, I had to unscrew the gas station's window squeegie and I used their handle to pry the metal upward away from the tire.
Once I got home...I did what I do best. Self loathing. Then, after that, I rolled the front fenders, I cut and rolled the front tab and put touch up paint everywhere.
Like I should have g'damn done from the start. Now, I have a minor (it's very minor, only my own disdain for myself for not having fixed it in advance amplifies the damage in my head) imperfections...but perfectly rolled front fenders.
I just kept thinking, I see so much reticence to roll from people that are afraid to hurt the paint, or the fender. If you can stomach a stock height, or stance/width...more power to you. But for someone that needs to get the car sitting perfectly (in my head)...
ROLL YOUR FUCKING FENDERS...
That is all...
working it
Finally had the jean you us idea to use spacers to put the roller further out than the BBK
Plenty o' space
This thread is NOT for:
- anyone that isn't lowering their car
- isn't concerned with stance or at the very least being somewhat flush
- anyone that isn't running a chunky tire

Cool, I need to do this too. I wanna space my setup out a little more, but I'm pretty scared to do it, where my car was repainted I dont wanna crack the paint on the rear quarters. front seems easy enough tho
