Burning oil like its water and blowing thick white smoke

Whats up everyone, just wanted to see if anyone experienced simialir situation before on a 2008 TL type s (73,000 miles). So bascially, check enine light started to flash so i replaced spark plugs and coils and it was fine for a week but it came back on again. Checked compression & leak down so recently we did valve seals repair and no check engine light but still running little bit funny on idle. Now, its burning oil like crazy and adding oil almost every week. Also every time when the car starts up, thick white smoke comes out of exhaust or accleration. Im thinking at this point blown head gasket or piston rings. Is there any other place I should be checking before I start pulling the head? Any feed back or suggestion will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

sounds like you mucked something up when you did the valve stem seals as that would cause the white smoke from oil burning!!

My guess would be something didn't seat right with the new valve seals. Was it burning oil before? What was the reasoning for replacing the valve seals if it wasn't burning oil at the time?
