thank you sir!

stock, the drl's are not 100% powered. if you wire it up the way that I did, I think 9005 halogens would be really bright bc they'd be at 100%. that said, you could definitely wire it the way that I did and use halogens. you'll still get the 'drl' light on your dash (doesn't bother me personally). this is how I did it:

https://acurazine.com/forums/3g-tl-2004-2008-93/07-08-drl-headlights-836519/

you might be able to program the computer to have the drl's on all the time, but I'm not sure about that.

Ah man that actually would bother me lol. So if I went and bought and led drl kit, then that's the better way correct? I had no idea the halogens aren't at 100% so I don't wanna blind anybody.

IMO it is. there's two routes with led drl there:

(1) the way that I did it, which allows you to keep the drl's on all the time or even install a switch so you can control them. but, you get the 'drl' light on the dash.

(2) http://www.vleds.com/bulb-type/dayti...rsion-kit.html

with option 2, it's a bit more expensive and you have to use capacitors. I don't like capacitors bc they get hot. the positive is that you don't have the 'drl' dash light on.

I would definitely buy your leds from v-led, they make great bulbs. I think there is actually a father's day 15% off sale today.

sure thing! yeah, their bulbs are pricey. like v-leds on facebook and you'll be notified when they have sales. occasionally they do 20% off. here's the bulbs I have:

http://www.vleds.com/bulb-type/fog-l...45-1-pair.html

not as bright as titans, but about half the cost.

I think I'm leaning towards putting the a-spec lip back on. otherwise I feel like I'd need to ditch the side skirts and rear lip too. kinda nice to have something a little different for now though.

I've already got the a-spec rear lip and the sides. I'm planning to put the front lip back on this week.

I'm prepping the type-s front lip for re-install now, which is kinda painful. not sure how to get the used double sided tape off the back of the lip.

Good idea-you'll want good pics!

thanks, plasti-dip all the way.

I hadn't thought about keeping it black. I don't think I've seen anyone actually do black with a white brembo logo come to think of it.

yeah, cell phones just don't do it justice.

right now I'm leaning towards a pearl-silver with red 'brembo' logo or maybe a bronze/copper with white or black logo. decisions, decisions!

Here's a link to my progress thread with pics of the silver Brembos. The Brembo sticker I ordered was too big so they didn't look 100%, but they weren't bad nonetheless.

this is the second time I've had clear bra installed and the product has really improved since last time. it's so clear it's like having another clear coat sprayed on.

How much does a full wrap usually cost you? I haven't looked at pricing in Toronto but the one well regarded wrap shop around here charges an arm and a leg

it's not cheap. I have the front bumper, hood, fenders, heads/fogs, side mirrors, and a few odds and ends which was about $500 total. the good news is that my front a-spec lip is 5 years old and has over 70k miles on it without a single rock chip.

N1, are you talking about a entire car wrap? I've seen those for $3,000-$5,000.

Why did you replace the front bumper?

And when you said you are "pretty happy with it".. Does that mean you are not really sure?

the paint was looking bad, so I was going to have it repainted and there was a dent from the previous owner that I wanted removed. it ended up being cheaper to just get a new bumper cover and have it painted than to have the dent removed. I'm happy with it, but now it kinda makes me want to get the hood and fenders repainted.
